Chapter 11

Soon, the police station became bustling with activity, with even a few women crying and making a scene. Upon closer listening, it turned out they were the family members of the injured thugs, who had rushed to the station to “show support.”

However, no one barged into the duty room; it seemed everyone knew that Ryan Carter and William Thompson were inside, and deliberately avoided that room.

These two were only seventeen or eighteen years old, clearly hotheaded and reckless, acting without considering the consequences. If anyone rushed in and got knocked down by them, losing all their teeth, wouldn’t that just be asking for trouble?

“Everyone, shut up!”

“What are you all yelling about?”

Just as the commotion reached its peak, a slightly hoarse male voice thundered through the air.

In an instant, all the crying, shouting, and noise came to an abrupt halt. The entire police station became so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

“That’s the chief. I’ve seen him before—loud voice…”

Sean Miller quickly lowered her voice and whispered to Ryan Carter, a smile on her face, as if she was waiting for some kind of “savior.”

“His voice is loud, but he lacks real strength.”

Ryan Carter nodded and said with a smile.

“What did you say?”

Sean Miller widened her eyes.

Ever since she started paying attention to Ryan Carter, she’d noticed that he would occasionally say things that sounded completely baffling to her. In any case, compared to ordinary classmates, Ryan Carter was clearly different.

“It’s nothing.”

Ryan Carter smiled gently and spoke softly.

“You all wait outside. Send two representatives to my office to talk to me.”

The chief shouted at the crowd, then gave his orders loudly.

Despite all the fuss from Four-Eyes and the others, deep down they were still afraid of the police station. No one objected, and they immediately chose Knife-Face and Four-Eyes as their representatives.

Knife-Face had been sent flying by a punch from Ryan Carter, vomiting uncontrollably at the time, as if every bone in his body had been broken. In reality, Ryan Carter had shown restraint and hadn’t actually injured any vital parts. Although he was still in pain, he was otherwise fine. Compared to those brothers who had lost most of their teeth, he was much luckier.

As for those who lost their teeth, they would never grow back and would have to get implants.

This is also why, according to the law, knocking out more than two teeth constitutes minor injury.

Because the harm is permanent.

It had to be said, William Thompson really didn’t hold back.

Chapter 6: Do you believe I’ll lock you up?

Inside the police station’s meeting room, a very strange scene unfolded.

It was completely one-sided.

Almost everyone stood on Henry Brooks’s side, including Director Clark from the Political and Educational Office of No. 1 High School, who wore a stern face as he lectured Ryan Carter and William Thompson, saying that as students, they should focus on their studies instead of getting into fights, and that they were simply neglecting their proper duties.

William Thompson immediately got angry.

“Director Clark, you weren’t even there at the time and don’t know what happened. Isn’t it unfair to criticize us like this?”

“Hey, what kind of attitude is that?”

Director Clark’s face darkened, his eyes bulging like ox eyes as he glared at William Thompson, as if he wanted to eat him alive. He had never encountered a student who dared to talk back to him face-to-face.

William Thompson let out a cold laugh and said, “Director Clark, now is the time to talk about facts, not attitude.”

“Hey, you… you dare talk to me like that? I… I’ll expel you!”

Director Clark was furious, slamming the table and pointing at William Thompson’s nose, his chubby face flushed red and veins bulging on his neck.

This guy had really made Chief Director Clark angry.

William Thompson just laughed, a bit darkly, and his gaze toward Director Clark also turned a bit sinister. Director Clark felt uncomfortable under that look and instinctively shrank his neck.

“What are you looking at me for? Do you think just because you’re in the Olympiad class, I won’t dare expel you?”

Director Clark shouted, but it was obvious he was putting on a brave front to bolster his own courage.

William Thompson chuckled and said softly, “Director Clark, you’d better think carefully. Right now, I’m still your student, and I call you Director out of respect. If you expel me, then I’m no longer your student, nor a student of No. 1 High School. If something happens to your family then, no one can guarantee your safety.”

“Hey, what do you mean by that?”

Director Clark’s face turned red as he started shouting.

William Thompson sneered, pointing at Knife-Face and Little Four-Eyes across from him: “Director Clark, I know why you’re siding with outsiders instead of your own students. Either you have some connection with these bastards, or you’re afraid they’ll take revenge on you in the future. But think about it, if I dared to deal with these thugs, do you think I’d be afraid to deal with anyone else?”

“You’re still my teacher for now, so I’m giving you some respect. But if you keep twisting right and wrong, don’t blame others for being rude to you!”

“You… you dare threaten me?”

Director Clark jumped up, pointing a trembling finger at William Thompson, shaking with rage, his face turning a purplish blue.
