Chapter 15

Seeing William Carter's bright eyes looking at her with a smile, her heart skipped a beat. She shook her head and quickly walked away. She told herself she was just leaving, not running away. William Carter shouted from behind, “Goodbye, senior!” In fact, he didn’t even know which class that girl was from, nor did he want to know. He was just instinctively attracted to her beauty.

After watching the girl walk away, William Carter finally withdrew his gaze and bent down to pick up his bike. At that moment, a tenor voice called from behind, “Will! Wait for me a second!” He didn’t even need to turn around to know who it was. William Carter turned to see Sarah Thompson, sweating all over, with George Miller and six unfamiliar faces following behind.

When they got closer, Sarah Thompson said to the six, “This is Will, your boss!” The six glanced at William Carter, bent over, and greeted in unison, “Hello, Will!”

Seeing William Carter’s confused face, George Miller explained, “These six little brothers are all freshmen too. Brother Sanyan and we found them. They’re all little tigers when it comes to fighting!”

William Carter nodded to the six, then said to Sarah Thompson and George Miller, “Wait until all the brothers arrive. Keep an eye out and don’t cause any trouble, got it?” The two nodded. Sarah Thompson grinned and said, “Will, I’ve been with you long enough to pick up a thing or two. Don’t worry!”

William Carter turned and shook his head, saying, “You’re the one I worry about the most.” He pushed his bike toward the parking shed. George Miller chuckled and followed behind William Carter with his bike. “You, besides gloating, what else can you do?” Sarah Thompson, with his chubby body, got back on his bike and caught up with William Carter, while the six new little brothers followed along, all smiles.

When William Carter and the others arrived at the bike shed and were about to go in, two students at the entrance stopped them. “Hey—hey—hey! Stop right there! What are you doing going in? Don’t you know this is the teachers’ parking area?”

Sarah Thompson was annoyed. “I just saw someone in a student uniform park their bike in there. Why can’t we?”

A small-eyed student shot Sarah Thompson a glare. “They’re them, you’re you. I said no, so no!” The skinny guy with him didn’t say anything, but he held his head so high you could see the hair in his nose.

Sarah Thompson parked his bike and stepped forward to argue. “What, just because I’m a freshman? I’m telling you, move aside right now. Today I’m parking my bike here no matter what.”

William Carter also thought these two were going too far and didn’t stop Sarah Thompson.

【Volume One: Youthful Passion】 Chapter 6

‘Small Eyes’ heard this, his eyes went round as saucers, and he shouted, “Kid, you looking for a fight? Get lost, I don’t have time to mess with you.”

“You roll your damn eyes all you want. They’re still not as big as soybeans!”

‘Small Eyes’ couldn’t take it. He hated people saying his eyes were small, and now a freshman said it to his face—he was furious. He rolled up his sleeves, ready to fight. William Carter reached out his hand and said, “Let it go for my sake. My friend’s new and doesn’t know the rules. We’ll park our bikes somewhere else.”

‘Small Eyes’ didn’t take William Carter seriously at all and pushed his hand away. “What? You think it’s over just like that? None of your business, get out of my way. Damn you, today I’m going to beat you up!”

Sarah Thompson exploded when he heard that. He hated it most when people insulted William Carter, and he couldn’t stand people who weren’t friends calling him fat. ‘Small Eyes’ was unlucky—he hit both points. Without another word, Sarah Thompson stepped up and slapped ‘Small Eyes’ across the face. ‘Small Eyes’ staggered back two steps, seeing stars.

“Damn you, you dare hit me?!”

“Hit you? I’ll show you why the flowers are so red!” With that, he kicked ‘Small Eyes’ in the stomach. ‘Small Eyes’ lost his balance and fell to the ground. Sarah Thompson stepped forward and, not caring if it was his head or body, started kicking him hard.

The skinny guy with ‘Small Eyes’ saw his buddy getting beaten and was about to jump in, but George Miller stopped him. George Miller glanced back at William Carter and, seeing Will smiling, felt reassured. He said to the new little brothers, “Come on, guys, let’s warm up.”

None of these guys were pushovers. Earlier, they held back because the boss hadn’t spoken, but now, hearing George Miller, the six grinned wickedly and surrounded the ‘Skinny Guy’. One of them said, “Let me set an example!” and kicked the ‘Skinny Guy’ in the leg, making him wobble.

“Bend over for me!” Another came over, grabbed the ‘Skinny Guy’ by the hair, and yanked his head down. The ‘Skinny Guy’ winced in pain and had to bend over. The others swarmed in, raining punches and kicks on him.

Just then, a man who looked like a teacher walked into the bike shed. Everyone had just graduated from middle school and still had some fear of teachers, so they all stopped. The man acted as if he hadn’t seen them, locked up his bike, and quickly left.

Sarah Thompson looked at George Miller in confusion and asked, “Was that a teacher? Why didn’t he say anything?” George Miller didn’t get it either and shook his head. “Who knows. This damn school is full of weird stuff!” Everyone nodded in agreement.
