“Mom~~~” “Help~~~~~!” Two of Tiger’s men shouted and ran out of the woods, only to be blocked by the dozen or so brothers William Carter had already stationed outside. They were kicked hard and then dragged back and thrown to the ground. All the men Tiger brought were stunned.
William Carter’s lips curled upward. “No one here is leaving today!” After hearing William Carter’s words, some people sat on the ground and started crying, while the rest lost all their fighting spirit. William Carter’s smile grew wider—he was very satisfied with the effect. In fact, he was just trying to scare them. “You can either end up like him!”
William Carter lifted Tiger’s body in his hand. “Or you can follow me! The choice is yours!”
Looking at the lifeless Tiger, then at the devilish William Carter and the dozens of William Carter’s men staring at them, some people threw down their weapons and shouted, “Dong… Will, I’ll follow you!” There were still a dozen or so students loyal to Tiger who stood there, torn.
William Carter smiled at them and nodded, saying, “Alright, I won’t make things hard for you. Take your injured and leave, and take this one too.” He pushed Tiger’s body forward and continued, “Go back and tell that ‘Mr. Miller’ that I’m the one who beat them, I started this, and if he’s not happy, he can come find me. My name is~William Carter!” Seeing that they all understood, he added, “You can go now. I’m letting you off this time, but if you cross me again, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
They looked at William Carter, saw he wasn’t joking, thanked him, and carried away their injured. But they would never forget what William Carter looked like today—this moment would be branded in their memories for life.
After they had gone far, William Carter said to his brothers, “Take all the injured to the hospital, quickly! Davey, you go with them!”
George Miller answered and, along with the others, carried the injured out of the woods. William Carter thought for a moment, then called out to George Miller, “After you get to the hospital, find Sam, he has money!”
George Miller had already walked quite a distance, but turned and shouted, “Will, I got it!” Then he hurried toward the school gate.
Sarah Thompson came over and laughed, “Will, that was a great fight! I took down three. But I’m still not as ruthless as you! Old Tiger is almost a dead tiger now!”
William Carter shook his head. When he looked at Sarah Thompson, he almost burst out laughing. Sarah Thompson’s clothes were torn in several places, stained with blood, and his big face was covered in a mix of sweat and dirt—he looked just like a beggar. William Carter took a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to Sarah Thompson, saying, “Wipe your face first!”
Sarah Thompson took the handkerchief awkwardly and wiped his face a couple of times. He thought to himself: Will’s face isn’t much cleaner than mine.
William Carter said to those who had just agreed to follow him, “I know you’re only with me because you had no choice, but now that you are, I’ll treat you as my own brothers. I hope you won’t do anything to betray me, or else… well, I don’t want to say more. I’ll give you one more chance to choose: if you want to stay, you’re welcome—what’s mine is yours. If you don’t, I won’t force you. Leave now!”
Some of them had been won over by William Carter’s ruthlessness, while others really had no choice. After hearing what William Carter just said, they were truly torn. William Carter saw this and said loudly, “From now on, if you follow me, you’re my people. If anyone dares to mess with you, I won’t let them off—no matter who it is! Today is an example. I, William Carter, always keep my word!”
After hearing this, their doubts disappeared. They all bowed to William Carter: “We’re willing to follow Will. If we ever betray you, may heaven and earth not tolerate us!”
William Carter smiled and said to his original brothers, “You all see this—these people are your brothers from now on. Take care of each other!” It was funny—just moments ago, these people were enemies fighting each other, but now they had become one group, their fates tied together by one person.
One of them said to William Carter, “Will, I know you’re strong, but ‘Mr. Miller’ isn’t an ordinary person. You beat us… no, you beat them, and Mr. Miller won’t let this go easily!”
William Carter looked at him and asked, “What’s your name?” “Will, my name is Jack Bolton. I’m from Class 2, Grade 2.”
William Carter nodded and asked, “Tell me about the situation at No.1 High. Just the main points.”
Jack Bolton thought for a moment and said, “Before you came, there were two main forces at No.1 High. One was led by ‘Mr. Miller’, and the other was the The Black Dragon Brotherhood founded by James Smith…” William Carter interrupted, “Who is James Smith? And what’s the The Black Dragon Brotherhood?”
Jack Bolton said, “James Smith is a senior, everyone calls him Dragon. He was the first to establish himself at No.1 High, and many seniors are his people. But not long after, Mr. Miller showed up, brought in some local thugs, and quickly built his own force. The two sides have fought countless times. The worst was a huge brawl on campus with over two hundred people—three died, and countless were injured…” At this point, Jack Bolton still looked a bit scared.
William Carter asked, “Doesn’t the school do anything about it?”
