Chapter 9

Just now, the still furious Noah Grant perked up her ears and turned up the volume on the eavesdropping device. “Lillian Nolan sis, we really need to learn more about the enemy, broaden our horizons, so we don’t accidentally get played by those so-called experts. Men these days, they really have all sorts of tricks.”

The woman in sunglasses, Lillian Nolan, though her expression remained cold, also unconsciously perked up her ears. Clearly, she was also quite interested in this so-called supreme art of picking up girls.

……

“The supreme level!”

Derek Carter fanned himself with a cracked palm-leaf fan, his eyes slowly closing as he stood there, neither here nor there. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew by, making his brightly patterned shorts sway gently in the breeze.

The blazing sunlight shone on his face, as if casting a radiant glow over his stubbly features, so dazzling it was hard to look at him directly.

“It’s simple—three words!”

Chapter 0005: The Supreme Level

……

“Three words?”

Ryan Walker and the two women, though in different places, were all completely captivated by him. They were all curious—what exactly were those three words?

“It must be ‘I love you.’” Noah Grant propped her chin up and snorted disdainfully. “Shameless, absolutely shameless, using the name of love to pick up girls—so low.”

“My guess is ‘I’ll support you.’” Lillian Nolan crossed her arms and said coldly, “In today’s world, many women already know that love can’t put food on the table. These three words are even more lethal. But if you chase girls this way, you’re definitely not a good guy.”

“Uncle~” Ryan Walker’s mind was racing, his eyes lighting up. “Is it ‘I’ll spoil you’? Girls all love being spoiled.”

“Heh, that’s why I say you haven’t reached the supreme level yet.” Derek Carter patted him mysteriously on the shoulder. “When it comes to picking up girls, the supreme level is, of course…”

His eyes suddenly burst with an incredibly sacred and solemn light.

“To!”

“Be!”

“Chased!”

Each word landed like a bomb, leaving the three of them dumbfounded, shocked to the core.

It took quite a while before Ryan Walker snapped out of it, staring at him in shock. “U-Uncle, isn’t that a bit too much?”

“This… this uncle is just shameless.”

“Seconded!”

“Young man, that’s why you’re still green!” Derek Carter, stubbly-faced, cigarette dangling from his lips, fanned himself with the calm of a mountain. “But to reach the supreme level isn’t that easy. At the very least, you have to be like me—refined inside and out. Your heart must be as steady as a mountain. Outwardly, you need a mature, world-weary charm. Most importantly, you have to show off your best side completely. Like the sun in the sky, so dazzling that women can’t help but be drawn to you, falling hopelessly in love.”

“Uncle, your best side is…” Ryan Walker’s facial muscles twitched painfully.

“This.” Derek Carter pointed grandly with his fan at his sign. “This!”

Ryan Walker looked up and nearly fainted, his vision going black. The sign read “Big Cannon Convenience Store,” with the words “Big Cannon” especially huge and eye-catching.

“As the saying goes, a person’s name is like the shadow of a tree.” Derek Carter gestured grandly, his eyes shining. “My name, Derek Carter, is already famous for miles around, shaking half the city. Who knows how many young ladies and married women use the excuse of buying soy sauce just to spend another minute with me. A man as deep and profound as I am is like the bright moon in the dark night—no matter how you hide, you can’t conceal that dazzling light.”

Inside the sports car.

Both girls’ faces were flushed bright red. This pervy uncle was just… just too shameless.

“Lillian Nolan sis, I really can’t take it anymore.” Noah Grant gripped her silver palm-sized mini pistol, a few silver arcs crackling as she struggled to contain her emotions. “How about we go all out and turn these two filthy men to ashes?”

A bead of cold sweat slid down Lillian Nolan’s smooth, jade-like cheek from her temple, her lips twitching as she too struggled to keep her emotions in check.

“Beep!”

A crisp electronic sound rang out.

A patch of green—on the previously calm “energy radar” display, a glaring red dot suddenly appeared.

The two women instantly sobered up, staring intently at the screen. Lillian Nolan’s face turned cold and serious, her slender finger pressing on the engraved bracelet on her wrist. “Xiao Nuo, ‘she’ has revealed her presence. This time, we absolutely can’t let ‘her’ get away again.”

“Lillian Nolan sis.” Noah Grant closed her eyes tightly, her delicate brows twitching as she whispered, “I can ‘smell’ her. She’s not far—look, that direction, less than a hundred meters from us!”
