Chapter 8

William Lawson looked at Henry Lawson's angry face and said, "David James took away all the members of Team B, and the strength of the Dragon Shadow Unit has been severely weakened. Brian King's Team A is already exhausted dealing with everything, so..."

"You want me to go back and rebuild Dragon Shadow Team B?"

William Lawson nodded.

"I refuse. You should know that even without Team B, there's still the instructors' group, and their strength is fully comparable to three Team Bs." Henry Lawson rejected William Lawson's request without hesitation.

"But the instructors' group is the last trump card of the Dragon Shadow Unit. Unless it's the most critical moment, they won't be easily deployed." William Lawson said helplessly.

"Sorry, Grandpa, I'm still not ready to go back yet. The day I figure things out, I promise I'll report back to the Dragon Shadow Unit." Seeing the disappointment flash across the old man's face, Henry Lawson still gave him a promise.

"I hope that day won't come too late. The Dragon Shadow Unit really needs you back right now." The old man patted Henry Lawson's shoulder and took out a small black suitcase from beside him, handing it over. "Before I came, your master entrusted me to give this to you."

"Master?" Henry Lawson frowned slightly at these words and opened the clasps on both sides of the suitcase.

Inside the suitcase was black, foam-like fireproof material. In the center, a groove had been carved out, and in the groove lay a military knife—a real combat military knife.

"This is... Dragon Fang?!"

Henry Lawson recognized the origin of the knife at a glance and exclaimed in surprise.

Chapter 6: Enrollment

The Dragon Fang combat knife is the exclusive combat knife for members of the Dragon Shadow Unit. Each Dragon Fang knife is made from high-quality steel containing fifteen percent chromium, hand-forged by master bladesmiths, making it sharper, more wear-resistant, and harder than ordinary combat knives.

The back of the knife has shark-tooth serrations, and the handle is hollow, containing a storage compartment the size of a pistol magazine. It can store emergency life-saving medicine, or poison that can kill within seconds. The poison can be used to kill enemies, or, if trapped in a desperate situation, to commit suicide—because even the world's most elite special forces can hardly withstand the enemy's torture.

Henry Lawson carefully took the knife out of the box and spun it in his hand, his thumb gently scraping along the sharp blade, feeling the cold touch of the edge. Henry Lawson not only knew how to use knives, but also loved them, so the look in his eyes as he gazed at the Dragon Fang knife was like looking at a peerless beauty with her body exposed.

When he turned the knife over and saw the flamboyant characters "狂龙" ("Mad Dragon") engraved on the other side of the blade, he was stunned. Only members of the Dragon Shadow Tactical Action Team are qualified to have their action code name engraved on their knife.

"Grandpa, this..." Henry Lawson looked hesitantly at William Lawson beside him.

"This knife was personally ground on the lathe by your master before I left the capital. The '狂龙' was also engraved by his own hand. He asked me to tell you that in his heart, you have always been the best member of the Dragon Shadow Unit. He hopes that one day he can see you return to the Dragon Shadow Unit with this knife."

Hearing William Lawson's words, Henry Lawson couldn't help but feel his nose sting. "Grandpa, please tell Master I'm sorry. I'm really not ready to go back yet, but I believe one day I will return, and I'll walk through the gates of the Dragon Shadow Unit with the pride of '狂龙'!"

"Grandpa, when are you planning to return to the capital?" After putting the knife back in the suitcase, Henry Lawson asked.

"Everything in Donghai City has been taken care of. If there's nothing else, I'm planning to return to the capital tomorrow. Those little devils are making trouble again over at Fishing Island, so I need to go back and discuss with Old Mac, Old Lee, and the others how to teach them a lesson." William Lawson rubbed his temples, his face showing a trace of undisguised fatigue.

"Grandpa, before you go back, I have one more favor to ask. I want to study at Donghai University."

"Why did you suddenly decide to go to university? Is there a girl you like?" The old man looked at him curiously, then asked with a gossipy tone.

"No!" Henry Lawson's face flushed slightly and he shook his head quickly. "Back in the Dragon Shadow Unit, I always heard Frank Murray brag about his college life. Now that I have the time, I want to experience it for myself."

"Alright, leave it to me. Your grandpa still has some influence. So, what major do you want to study?"

"If I'm going to study, I want the best. I want to join the Computer Science Department at Donghai University!"

"You brat, that's quite the ambition. That's the top program at Donghai University. Are you sure you can handle it?"

"Don't forget, your grandson is '狂龙'—if I'm not a little wild, how could I live up to the name? As for your other worries, there's no need. Back in the Dragon Shadow Unit, besides taking information courses, I also specifically sought out Noah Wood for some pointers. Do you think those professors and experts could possibly be better than Noah Wood?"
