Chapter 8

Alright, I overestimated you guys, Jason Bennett comforted himself in his heart. If it's draft mode, then draft mode it is.

"What champion are you playing?" Eric Carter turned his face and asked.

"I'll go with Blitzcrank. That's the only champion I bought on this account," Jason Bennett said.

"Yeah, Blitzcrank is intimidating," Eric Carter nodded.

On the side, Lily Harris looked miserable and said gloomily, "Last time it was Ryan Cooper playing Blitzcrank, and our bot lane got wrecked..."

Jason Bennett ignored Lily Harris's complaints and glanced briefly at his team's lineup.

Eric Carter had chosen the champion "Annie, the Dark Child."

Don't be fooled by Annie's appearance as a cute, pink, sexy little loli—this little girl is actually extremely fierce, known as the "one-shot queen," and is one of the most explosive mages.

Wow, who would've thought that rough guy Eric Carter is actually into lolis.

Lily Harris picked "Miss Fortune, the Bounty Hunter," commonly known as "Miss Fortune" or "MF."

She's a mature woman full of charm, and her catchphrases are always flirtatious, teasing you in a sultry, tingling voice: "Can you handle me, summoner?"

MF is a ranged physical damage dealer, and among all ranged AD carries, her damage output is among the top, especially her level 6 ultimate "Bullet Time." In battle, whenever she lets out her wild laugh, it's usually the moment of doom for her enemies—a perfect example of making people run for their lives!

Ethan Foster chose the most familiar champion to everyone: "Garen, the Might of Demacia."

Garen is a banner in League of Legends. Although he doesn't get picked much in high-level games, in low-level matches, this guy is like a god.

Everyone probably knows what he's capable of, so there's no need to introduce him further.

Mark Bailey picked "Master Yi, the Wuju Bladesman," commonly known as "Yi" or "Master Yi."

Master Yi is positioned between mage and physical damage dealer, and there are generally two ways to play him.

AP Yi requires more skill, while AD Yi is often seen in low-level games. He even has a nickname: "King of Noobs." In matches below level 10, you see Yi in almost every game.

So that's the team comp. In Jason Bennett's professional opinion, this is a terrible lineup, but it's likely they don't know how to play any other champions.

"Is Yi going jungle? Why aren't you taking Smite?" Jason Bennett reminded Mark Bailey.

"Jungle? What's jungle?" Mark Bailey asked, looking completely confused.

"Yeah, jungling means clearing jungle monsters. But maybe don't jungle—if I have to face two people alone in top lane, how am I supposed to handle that?" Ethan Foster quickly said.

So it's a typical low-level 2-1-2 lineup. Jason Bennett started rolling his eyes.

Alright, this is a low-level game. But what Jason Bennett couldn't figure out was, if it's clearly a 2-1-2 lineup, why did Eric Carter talk about "top lane" as a concept when discussing in class?

Isn't this just the classic low-level scenario—two people going top lane?

Chapter 6: This Isn't How You Play ADC

Jason Bennett was used to playing ranked, and hadn't played this kind of game in a while. Turns out, in League of Legends, around level 20-something, people still use the 2-1-2 lineup.

"Jason Bennett, you're only level 13 and don't have many runes, so play safe in bot lane," Eric Carter said.

"Yeah. Their runes are almost maxed out."

Well, at least you guys know about runes. Thank goodness.

Jason Bennett was honestly worried that if he reminded them to set up their runes and masteries, they'd just look at him blankly and ask, "What are runes?"

"Alright, everyone focus!" Eric Carter put on his captain's demeanor, rallying the team.

At this point, the champion select screen started counting down, and they slowly entered the loading screen.

Jason Bennett glanced at Eric Carter and noticed he looked a bit nervous and serious.

After all, there's a thousand yuan on the line, and more importantly, it's a rare chance to show off in front of Olivia Parker, so it's normal to be nervous.

Ethan Foster didn't look relaxed either—this guy is the most timid of them all.

Mark Bailey didn't say much, just stared intently at the screen.

Jason Bennett was pretty laid-back. He subconsciously glanced to the side and happened to catch a glimpse of Olivia Parker's long, shapely, fair legs.

Olivia Parker noticed Jason Bennett's lecherous gaze and glared at him.

"So stingy, it's not like you'll lose anything if I take a look! But damn, those legs are sexy. I wonder what they'd feel like to touch," Jason Bennett muttered in a voice only he could hear.

...

On the other side, David Morgan rested his chin on his crossed hands, a slight smile on his face.

"Heh, they definitely don't know that you've been coached by a master, Mr. Morgan. Your skills are way above level 29—you could handle those level 30 or even 40 players, right?" whispered the pale-faced student next to David Morgan.

"Idiot, the level cap in League of Legends is 30," David Morgan scolded with a laugh.

"Oh, oh, so there's no level above 30?" the pale-faced student asked.

"You can play ranked games," David Morgan replied.

"Ranked games? What are ranked games like?" The others had never played ranked, so they were all curious.
