Chapter 12

"Alright, alright, I admit I was wrong, okay?" Ethan Brooks hurriedly apologized, but her eyes still couldn't hide the pride she felt in her own impressive figure. She asked, "So what exactly is your plan? Tell me about it."

Little Pixie let out a sly laugh, turned on the computer in Ethan Brooks's bedroom, found the book club group that Charles Bennett had shared in his book, and then logged in with that QQ account she used to pretend to be a man, joining the group.

"What are you doing?" Ethan Brooks was completely confused.

"Dummy, obviously I'm infiltrating the enemy's organization!" Lily shot Ethan Brooks a look of disdain and said smugly, "And you call yourself a cop? Haven't you seen 'Infernal Affairs'? I don't believe that guy doesn't have any weaknesses. First, we get close to him, figure out his preferences, and later, whether it's a honey trap, an ambush, or kicking him when he's down, it'll all be up to us!"

A bead of cold sweat appeared on Ethan Brooks's forehead, but she still nodded in agreement.

As soon as they entered the group, seeing all those unfiltered, explicit chat logs and some perverts posting revealing little pictures, not only Ethan Brooks, but even Female Rogue blushed a little. But curiosity drove them to keep reading, and a strange feeling began to rise in their hearts.

What surprised them was that among the nearly hundred people in the group, there wasn't a single girl—everyone was male. In fact, a few girls had joined before, but they were quickly scared off by the group of perverts.

Lily and Ethan Brooks exchanged a glance, which meant: The enemy is too scary, we need to be cunning.

To their delight, that guy Wei was actually online, discussing the plot of children's underwear with a bunch of perverts. Lily didn't waste any time and typed a line for verification: 'Niu Dada, I'm your loyal fan,' and sent a friend request to Charles Bennett. Unsurprisingly, the request was immediately accepted.

"How are you so good at this?" Ethan Brooks asked, a bit dumbfounded.

"Tch, I've been hanging around online for ages. I've joined at least eight or ten reader groups by now, this is nothing." Lily couldn't hide her pride as she sent Charles Bennett a private message: "Dada, why did you only update one chapter today, are you impotent?"

Is that supposed to be a greeting? Ethan Brooks almost popped her eyes out.

To the surprise of the police department's little firecracker, Big Bennett on the other end didn't care at all and replied, "Yeah, my period came, happens a few days every month... damn it, my state hasn't been great lately."

Lily and Ethan Brooks were both stunned, then exchanged another glance, which meant: The enemy is too shameless, we need to be tough.

"Dada, don't lose heart, all the brothers support you!" Miss Lily typed out a generic slogan.

"Thanks, thanks, haha... Like the wind? Bro, are you new here? You look unfamiliar."

Lily and Ethan Brooks were shocked, exchanging another glance, which meant: The enemy is very cautious, we need to be careful.

Chapter 009: I'm Going to Stake Out and Screw Him Over

Lily asked, "Do you think that guy is really that sharp? Can he tell we're new?"

Ethan Brooks replied, "No way, he's either just talking nonsense or trying to trick us!"

"Good point." Lily nodded and quickly typed: "Dada, you're so forgetful! My username in the book review section is 'Kite Chasing Dreams,' I vote for you every day, and you already forgot me?"

"Ah, sorry, I just can't remember right now, haha."

The two girls breathed a sigh of relief at the same time, then exchanged a strange look, which meant: The enemy is an idiot, let's fool him.

Lily asked innocently, "Dada, where are you from?"

"S Province."

Lily was determined to play dumb to the end: "Where in S Province?"

"Oh, C City."

"Wow, what a coincidence, my hometown is C City too." Lily sent the message and burst out laughing with Ethan Brooks.

Then there was a long silence. The two girls waited and waited, even feeling like going to find Charles Bennett in person for a PK. Finally, Big Bennett replied nonchalantly, "Not that much of a coincidence, actually. There are several brothers in the group from C City. Bro, private chat is too much trouble, don't separate yourself from the crowd, come chat with everyone in the group."

Lily resisted the urge to punch someone, switched to the group chat, and immediately saw some guy post an extremely lewd picture, then ask, "Boss, when are you finally going to get with An An? We're all waiting."

"Yeah, yeah, get with her, you have to!" a bunch of perverts immediately chimed in.

Ethan Brooks's little fists clenched so hard they cracked, and she wished she could grab a machine gun and spray this bunch of perverts.

"No rush, no rush, brothers, give me some time. My state hasn't been great lately. Once I get my thoughts straight, I'll write the next part..." In front of his computer, Big Bennett wished he could just disappear and never come back. Get with An An? What a joke. He's already got two troublemakers giving him a headache, if he adds another to form an 'Eastern Three Musketeers,' how is he supposed to survive?

Charles Bennett had already made a shameless decision: that girl named An An absolutely can't be gotten with, she'll be saved for the grand finale.
