Chapter 15

Reader B answered aggrievedly, “It wasn’t me who did it, I didn’t expect Big Newman to suddenly pop out either.”

Bandit Bennett had no idea what had happened, cheerfully picked up the heavy sniper rifle dropped by that police officer, and ran off. As soon as he reached a hidden spot, he heard gunshots—the bandit buddy who had been fighting with knives was taken out. He pressed the TAB key and saw that only he and 911 were still alive. Bandit Bennett grinned wickedly, opened the scope, and aimed his sniper rifle at the only route 911 had to take.

Neither Ethan Brooks nor Lily had ever seen Bandit Bennett use an AWP, so Ethan Brooks moved around quite carelessly. She simply didn’t believe Bandit Bennett could just casually headshot her. But as the dull gunshot rang out and blood splattered across the screen, both Ethan Brooks and Lily were dumbfounded.

“I’m going to kill him!” Ethan Brooks slammed her mouse hard, her murderous look even startled the usually fearless Miss Lily, who couldn’t tell whether Ethan Brooks wanted to kill Bandit Bennett’s in-game character or the real person...

Bandit Bennett was in an increasingly good mood, the depression of the past two days had been greatly eased. His luck today was truly excellent, his form was outstanding, and he’d performed above his usual level multiple times, showing the readers just how manly he could be. Most importantly, Bandit Bennett had personally taken out 911 seven times, proving just how reliable his character and looks were.

The thirteenth round, the final round, was also the deciding one. Coincidentally, both sides had won six rounds each, so whether the police or the bandits were better would be decided by this match.

This round, Bandit Bennett felt exceptionally good. People only saw a bandit carrying a C4, moving with a graceful stride, cutting down all who tried to stop him with a few shots. As this flashy bandit reached the A bombsite, the fallen bandit brothers were moved to tears, convinced that the bandits were sure to win this round.

But soon, all the bandit brothers were confused again. That GSNB guy had been crouching there for ages, but still hadn’t planted the C4. The brothers wondered, was the boss counting ants? Looking at a 3D painting? Or was there a diamond embedded in the ground that he couldn’t pick up?

The only surviving member of the police, 911, crept over cautiously, and then he too was stunned. 911 walked up to Bandit Bennett, but the bandit just didn’t react. So 911 raised his gun and emptied all his bullets...

In an apartment building somewhere in C City, two joyful cheers erupted. Lily grabbed Ethan Brooks’s face and grinned wickedly, “Come on, girl, mission accomplished—give me a kiss.”

“If you’re not afraid of dying, go ahead and try. Careful or I’ll knock your teeth out.” Ethan Brooks glared at Lily, secretly a bit afraid that this female hooligan might actually kiss her.

“Really?”

Lily’s smile turned a bit mischievous. Before Ethan Brooks could react, her delicate hand reached behind Ethan Brooks and gave a hard tug... the white bath towel fell to the floor, revealing an even whiter body in full view, instantly filling the room with springtime allure.

“Ahhhh—!”

Ethan Brooks cried out, leaping onto the bed at lightning speed and diving under the covers. In that frantic, shy jump, with those enticing curves, most male creatures would have their blood boiling.

Lily jumped onto the bed as well, sounding like a total rogue: “Girl, your face is redder than a monkey’s butt. It’s not like I haven’t seen you naked before, is this really necessary? Come, let big sis check if your figure has changed since last time.”

Ethan Brooks clutched the blanket tightly over her vital parts. “Don’t! Or I’ll really hit you!”

Lily put on a pained expression. “Fine, I’ll let it go. But I can responsibly tell you, if you get ravished by me in your sleep, don’t come crying. As everyone knows, in ancient times there was Cao Mengde who loved to kill in his dreams, and now there’s me, Sister Lily, who loves to ravish people in my dreams!”

“Beast!” Ethan Brooks wanted to smash her head into tofu. Suddenly, as if remembering something, she asked, “You’re staying at my place again tonight?”

“Duh, isn’t it obvious?” The little vixen replied righteously.

“Why?”

“Because I’m afraid of the dark, because I can’t sleep, because I’m exhausted inside, because I’m afraid you’ll cry...” Lily started singing in a lovely voice, but stopped halfway. She gazed at Ethan Brooks with deep affection, imitating Stephen Chow’s tone from A Chinese Odyssey, her voice a little sultry: “Now—are—you—satisfied—?”

“Didn’t you use this trick years ago? Can’t you come up with something new?” Ethan Brooks said frankly.

Lily looked utterly defeated, then suddenly clasped her hands together, mixing archaic Chinese with English: “OK, Heroine Brooks, to be honest, my lease is up today. I have nowhere to stay, so I’ve come to trouble you for a night. Would you be so kind as to help me out?”

This time, Ethan Brooks was truly defeated by Lily. She frowned, “Another emergency? I’ve helped you out so many times already! Why don’t you live in the dorms? You’re a perfectly good college student, but you don’t stay in the dorm, you rent outside. Do you have any sense of being a student at all?”
