Chapter 4

"Kill him!"

In an instant, hidden weapons, magic, and arrows rained down on Logan Bennett. As someone who had reached the rank of third-grade Sealer, Logan Bennett had a considerable foundation—after all, don’t forget he was over fifty years old, with far more accumulated resources than most. Especially in this secret chamber, sensing something was off, he immediately activated the spatial transfer array. As long as he could escape, he would always find a way to resolve things.

The array activated smoothly. The unconscious Gavin Clark and Olivia Clark vanished together, but only half of Logan Bennett's body disappeared—the other half was sliced off. Logan Bennett's eyes bulged wide in disbelief, unable to accept such an ending. He was about to become the greatest Sealer in human history, but his bubble of hope burst just like that. His unwillingness would probably only be vented in hell.

A large group of adventurers were just as unwilling as he was. They were only one step away from getting that Olivia Clark—just a little bit more!

Episode 1, Chapter 2: The Mad Full Moon

For those in direct combat professions, whether of other races or human, slaying a dragon is a badge of honor. There have indeed been dragon-slaying heroes in history, because dragons have always preferred one-on-one duels, even against many opponents. Though they possess immense physical strength and intelligence, they are not without weaknesses. There is no such thing as a perfect race in this world, and the greatest weakness of dragons is undoubtedly their pride and arrogance. This is a common failing among dragons and the root of their downfall.

Sealers, of course, do not wish to slay dragons—they want to seal them and gain their power. You see, when a sealed monster reaches the top ninth rank, it can merge with the Sealer in battle, compensating for the Sealer’s physical frailty and displaying even greater power. Imagine how terrifying it would be for a human, transformed by a high-level magical beast, to lead a horde of such beasts. This is why the Sealing King is so formidable—not only is he incredibly powerful himself, but he has also sealed two ninth-rank, intelligent beings. Even more terrifying, he has powerful followers. It’s only natural that such a person would dominate the continent.

A dead dragon is useless, but a living dragon would rather die than become a slave. This time, it was truly a stroke of luck. The sea of poppies has an intoxicating effect—stunningly beautiful, but also deadly. Most creatures who enter will smile and become lost in the intoxication until they die, but not dragons. Still, even their strong will can be worn down. Clearly, this Emily Clark was not very experienced.

Great things often happen by chance. This kind of purple diamond card is rare—not even most sixth-grade Sealing Kings have one, let alone a third-grade Sealer. When Logan Bennett was young, he had incredible luck; while tomb raiding, he found an unknown sealing book and this purple diamond card. It was thanks to this book that he was able to transform from a talentless adventurer into the third-grade Sealer he was now.

Gavin Clark woke up, just as he had countless times on the battlefield. His wounds were already healed, and it seemed the poison had no effect on him. But he felt an even colder gaze upon him.

Emily Clark stood right in front of him. There was no doubt—right now, Emily Clark could crush him to death with just two fingers, over and over again.

"Despicable human, how do you want to die? I can grant you your final wish."

Grace Bennett had to bite her silver teeth just to suppress the boundless fury in her heart. She had never imagined she would suffer such humiliation—a lowly human actually wanted to enslave her, and his inferior blood had polluted her pure body!

Logan Bennett's sealing was successful, but only halfway. Although Emily Clark's soul was sealed, Gavin Clark's blood had prevented him from fully succeeding. If he had more time, Logan Bennett would certainly have found a solution, but now he had no chance.

Gavin Clark felt neither nervous nor afraid—he had seen scenes far more brutal than this. But he wasn’t an idiot; better to live miserably than die nobly, especially since he still had his own wishes. If he wanted to survive Emily Clark's wrath, he first had to stay calm.

"Go ahead."

Gavin Clark raised his neck. If his opponent were anyone else, he might have fought back desperately, even if there was only a sliver of hope. But facing Emily Clark, the most terrifying creature on the entire Trucier Continent, struggling would be laughable. But that didn’t mean there weren’t other ways.

"You want to die? It won’t be that easy. Want the contract to backfire? Hmph, I may not be able to kill you, but I can feed you to the magical beasts."

Grace Bennett was furious, but her last bit of rationality kept her calm—she had almost fallen for his trick.

Gavin Clark looked at Emily Clark mockingly. "Are dragons really that cowardly?" As he spoke, he glanced at the purple diamond card in his hand. He didn’t intend to provoke her into killing him, but dealing with such a being required special methods.

On it was a lifelike image of Emily Clark, as if the figure could move. The back of the card displayed the sealed creature’s various attributes.

Name: Grace Bennett;

Attribute: ???

Overall combat power: ???

Attack method: ???

Loyalty: One percent.

Gavin Clark couldn’t help but smile wryly. After following Logan Bennett for so long, he had a decent understanding of sealing techniques. If loyalty was below fifty percent, commanding the sealed beast would be very difficult, and there was a risk of betrayal—especially with highly intelligent ones, which were even more dangerous. And at one percent... the effectiveness was probably...
