Chapter 7

Although the intelligence level of the queen’s brain is a bit weaker than that of Lifepod No. 15, Queen Mother’s brain is a super model, inherently superior in performance to Lifepod No. 15. Once upgraded to a higher tier, its computational power will be astonishing, and its functions are far more complex and advanced than those of Lifepod No. 15—after all, Queen Mother serves as the main base. In terms of storage capacity, even at level one, Queen Mother’s brain is much larger than that of Lifepod No. 15. After all, Queen Mother’s sheer size is there, and the number of memory cells determines everything. Moreover, I also find Queen Mother’s brain more convenient to operate.

Bored and unable to sleep, I tried programming a few routines with Queen Mother’s brain and found that, even at just level one, this thing is still much more advanced than Earth’s computers. However, its computational principles are rather peculiar, making it impossible to directly run various Earth computer software. When converted to Earth computer mode, its functionality is reduced by thirty percent.

My mental fluctuations are completely connected with Queen Mother, and to some extent, Queen Mother’s brain is like a part of me. With my understanding of alien technology, getting Queen Mother’s brain to simulate a Windows operating system isn’t much of a problem.

“Once the data transfer is complete and I’ve installed the player, I can watch adult films whenever I want, or J-movies if I feel like it. There are so many movies on Earth—even if I can’t watch the latest releases, the old ones are enough to keep me entertained. Stranded alone on an alien planet, I can’t be too picky about quality of life! One must be content to be happy.” I slowly comforted myself, adjusting Queen Mother’s evolutionary direction.

I kept busy for quite a while, and when fatigue hit, I simply lay down on the main control console and fell into a deep sleep. God created woman on the second day; on my second day, I created beer cows. He created the whole world in seven days; I have seven days, hoping that the god of this planet will send me a busty girl.

On a planet full of dangers, I quickly learned that life is more important than loneliness. Before Queen Mother evolved to level two, I never ventured more than ten kilometers from the landing site. According to Lifepod No. 15’s data, the animals on this planet are much fiercer than those on Earth. Without sufficient protection, I’d rather endure the loneliness that nearly drives me mad. I’d already been depressed long enough in the alien spaceship, so a few more days didn’t matter.

Queen Mother can only produce biochemical beasts of the same level. Once it evolved to level two, not only did I have the option of the pellet-shooting beast, with power close to a shotgun, but I also gained a type of biochemical beast that made me feel even safer—the bomb worker bee! Among nearly 400,000 types of level-two biochemical beasts, I found it the most useful. Compared to the pellet-shooting beast recommended by Lifepod No. 15, it’s more suitable for someone like me who doesn’t want to fight on the front lines.

Like the pellet-shooting beast, this insect-type biochemical beast has body fluids composed of liquid explosives. Its size is much larger than any bee on Earth, almost as big as a juvenile sparrow. Its only effective attack is to rush up to the target and self-destruct.

A single bomb worker bee has about the same power as a hand grenade. And because it’s very small, structurally simple, and has a single-minded intelligence, it can be produced very quickly—Queen Mother only needs forty-five seconds plus seven minutes to make one. In just over five days, I had a bomb worker bee squad numbering over a thousand.

Chapter Six: The Xiangpa Ruins

After producing a beverage cow and a beer cow, in order to let Queen Mother evolve at full speed, I kept only a squad of twenty Tibetan mastiff-sized beasts and stopped making new biochemical beasts to reduce energy consumption. This level of combat power couldn’t guarantee my absolute safety. But as a level-one biochemical beast, the Tibetan mastiff’s strength was really disappointing, and I didn’t want to waste too much energy and resources making such low-level beasts with little use.

Once I could produce bomb worker bees, I immediately ordered Queen Mother to manufacture them at full speed. Although bomb worker bees have a narrower range of use than Tibetan mastiffs, as the fastest way to boost my military strength, they fit my current needs much better.

Over a thousand bomb worker bees are equivalent to over a thousand hand grenades, and they even come with automatic navigation. I can directly control any biochemical beast made by Queen Mother with my mental waves, and bomb worker bees are no exception. As a result, their combat efficiency is much higher than that of hand grenades. With this kind of firepower, I started to feel the urge to go exploring.

To decide on an exploration target, I resolutely activated the energy-intensive holographic map system. Hundreds of beams projected from the main control room’s large screen, forming a holographic map of the Sea of Immortality. Besides Queen Mother’s creators, more than a dozen other civilizations had visited this planet. As part of their survey, Queen Mother’s creators marked the ruins of these alien civilizations.

This place, called the Sea of Immortality Primeval Forest, contains a Xiangpa civilization ruin. The Xiangpa Ruins happen to be in the direction of the nearest threat mentioned by Lifepod No. 15, only a bit closer, with a straight-line distance of just 380 kilometers.

The holographic map presented the appearance of the ruins in full detail before my eyes. As I searched for the most convenient route, I also looked up information on the Xiangpa people.

The civilization level of Xiangpa Star is nine, sixteen levels lower than that of Queen Mother’s creators. However, compared to Earth, which is only at the early stage of level four civilization, it is still many times more advanced.
