He once again took out a bottle of red Heaven-grade healing potion from the spatial bracelet and gently poured it onto the freshly staunched wound. An even more miraculous thing happened—the gaping wound, which looked like an open mouth, stopped bleeding at a speed visible to the naked eye. In the blink of an eye, his chest had almost returned to its original state, leaving only a faint red scar.
“So effective? What a pity, there are only these three bundles and two bottles of Heaven-grade healing potion. I’ll have to use them sparingly. If I get hurt again, I’ll just use Earth-grade or Human-grade potions.”
During the fight with the Ash Wolf, he had been highly focused, but now that he relaxed, Brian Carter actually felt a bit tired. At that moment, his stomach let out a strange growl.
Brian Carter glanced at the roasted wolf meat on the ground, which had been cooked by Fireball, tore off a piece from the wolf’s carcass, and started chewing it in big bites.
Even though there were no seasonings added, it was still full of flavor, and chewing it was no different from eating beef.
“I can’t stay here. The smell of meat will soon attract other monsters, right?”
Brian Carter quickly walked off holding a roasted wolf leg, his mind constantly turning over all these unbelievable events. Playing a game in the game, and he actually transmigrated.
This time, he even brought all the equipment and items from the game with him. After being materialized, these virtual items in the spatial bracelet seemed to have changed greatly in terms of their effects.
The Fireball Ring used to shoot fireballs in the game that were only the size of a baby’s fist, and at most could only injure a wild wolf.
Now, after bringing the ring into this world, its power had greatly increased. A single Fireball not only killed the wild wolf, but also roasted it.
If... the other equipment in the spatial bracelet could be used? Brian Carter thought of the overpowered super artifact staff, Heaven and Earth Annihilation, and couldn’t help but swallow. Then surviving in this unknown world would be way too easy.
A hint of a lewd smile appeared on Brian Carter’s face, but then he suddenly thought, what if he was the only human in this world? His expression immediately turned ugly.
“Could I really be that unlucky?” Brian Carter tossed away the wolf leg he’d gnawed clean, looked at the ring on his hand that could still fire nine more fireballs today, and sighed.
This vast forest was full of strangeness. Brian Carter wasn’t arrogant enough to think that just a ring would make him invincible in an unknown forest. He needed to find a safe place to temporarily shelter himself, to study how to use those artifact-level items in the spatial bracelet, and to figure out, in his current situation, just how much use the Alchemy King’s Soulfire inside him still had.
Chapter 2: This Is Just Too Ridiculous (Part 1)
“Gua gua gu...” A few beastly cries echoed through the quiet forest. Suddenly, a rustling sound came from the man-high grass, and two bright eyes cautiously peered out from the thicket. After making sure there was no danger, Brian Carter quietly stepped out of the grass, holding his Flying Blade.
After surviving in this bizarre forest for two days, he had developed serious doubts about his surroundings. Not long after killing the Ash Wolf that day, he hid in the grass and witnessed a fierce battle between a monster bull covered in green scales and a mouse the size of a donkey.
Last night, while lying on a tall tree, he unexpectedly got to watch another intense fight beneath the tree—a velociraptor! That’s right! A velociraptor and a reptile he’d never seen before had a fierce battle.
The two monsters fought a bloody and brutal battle. Not only was the physical fight intense, but both monsters also showed off their unique skills, unleashing their special moves. Two not-so-powerful spells were cast repeatedly, and in the end, the velociraptor, though badly wounded, bit the other creature to death.
Watching this, Brian Carter felt his stomach churn and nearly vomited several times on the spot. He never even considered stepping in to finish off the wounded velociraptor.
After witnessing several monster battles, Brian Carter became even more wary of this unknown forest, moving with even greater caution than before.
Two days of living on edge, he had cast Fireball twelve times and killed seven monsters. Not only did Brian Carter not feel tired, he actually felt stronger than he had two days ago, and even his mental state seemed better than when he first arrived.
From deep within the forest came the sound of weapons clashing. Brian Carter took a deep breath and quietly crept toward the source of the noise. In this unfamiliar environment, he was even more eager to find someone to talk to, to learn about his surroundings.
Seeing a living person had become Brian Carter’s greatest wish in these two days. He really didn’t want to have transmigrated into a world with no people—otherwise, it would be no different from being sentenced to life imprisonment on Earth.
Brian Carter advanced cautiously, finally climbing up a tall, dense tree to use as a vantage point.
In a clearing in the forest, not very large, six or seven people were attacking one person with knives, surrounding and assaulting him fiercely.
Brian Carter could tell that those people below were definitely not sparring or practicing, but were fighting a deadly battle where every strike drew blood.
