Chapter 3

A commoner unable to cultivate the Body Strengthening Technique—how could such a feeble punch, under the impact of my own immense force, actually break my rib with a single blow?

Andrew Walker didn’t even need to check to know that his right shoulder was dislocated. Though his forearm wasn’t broken, there was probably a fracture. Staring at the shifting scene before him, Andrew Walker’s mind was a complete mess. What on earth was going on?

A wave of excruciating pain swept over him. Even though Andrew Walker always prided himself on having nerves of steel, he couldn’t withstand it and immediately passed out.

Chapter Two: A Different Life

The news that the youngest son of the Wu family, a ninth-rank noble in Songyun City, Andrew Walker, and the only son of the Wan family, also a ninth-rank noble, Grace Warren, had a conflict at the Songtao Tavern in the city and ended up brawling in the street outside—both severely injured—spread like wildfire to every corner of Songyun City.

“No way, Grace Warren actually had five ribs broken? Isn’t the Wu family’s youngest son born unable to cultivate the Body Strengthening Technique, weak as a kitten? How is that possible?” Those unaware of the details were shocked by the news and immediately raised questions—this was almost everyone’s first reaction.

“I heard Andrew Walker’s right shoulder was also dislocated, and his arm is nearly broken... But it’s absolutely true that he broke Grace Warren’s ribs.” The informed spoke with certainty, in a tone bordering on the bizarre, adding, “I was there at the scene...”

“Andrew Walker is the most beloved son of the Wu family’s patriarch, Wu Houde, and Grace Warren is the only heir of the Wan family. These two families have been at odds for ages. Now that this has happened, it’s probably a fight to the death...”

“Just wait and see, heh heh... There’s going to be a good show.”

While the whole of Songyun City was abuzz with this news and everyone was talking about it, the atmosphere in the Wu household had also grown rather tense—though beneath the tension, there was a hint of relief.

Who would have thought the third young master would directly clash with Grace Warren, even come to blows? Grace Warren is someone who’s reached the fifth level of the Body Strengthening Technique—wasn’t this courting death?

Fortunately, perhaps thanks to the blessings of the gods, the third young master didn’t die. He only suffered a dislocated shoulder, a fractured forearm, and lost consciousness.

All the servants and guards of the Wu family, while feeling relieved, were also puzzled—how did the third young master manage to break several of Grace Warren’s ribs and seriously injure him, making him cough up blood, when Grace Warren was at the fifth level of the Body Strengthening Technique?

By now, two days had passed since the incident. After the family’s guards rushed to rescue the third young master and brought him home, he finally woke up after two days of unconsciousness. This brought genuine joy to everyone in the Wu household, but what was odd was that after waking up, the young master didn’t cry or make a fuss. He just lay there on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, as if in a daze.

Could it be that the young master was beaten silly?

Was Andrew Walker really out of his mind?

Even when he was hunting down the infamous Dark Soul Seven Brothers, Andrew Walker suffered forty-eight wounds all over his body, twelve of them serious, and both arms completely disabled. Yet, when facing the final and strongest of the brothers, the seventh, in a desperate counterattack, Andrew Walker showed no fear. He calmly gripped a flying dagger in his mouth, used his legs to kick it out, and killed his foe.

Even when pursuing the top agent known as the most beautiful flower of Country R, after she exhausted all her means of attack to no avail, she stripped herself bare before Andrew Walker, revealing a body that could drive any man mad. Yet, there wasn’t a hint of surprise or daze in Andrew Walker’s eyes. In the end, the agent was so infuriated when Andrew Walker grabbed her, smacked her a few times on the butt, then wrapped her in a bedsheet and carried her back to report, that she cursed Andrew Walker for not being a real man...

When facing Lei Yun, the top assassin of the world’s most powerful assassination organization, Blood Spider, known as the “Supreme Killer,” and his unprecedentedly perfect assassination attempt, even as the dagger was about to pierce his throat, Andrew Walker wasn’t scared.

But now, Andrew Walker was truly stunned, truly frightened, and even a little terrified.

What the hell is going on?

He was clearly Special Police Officer No. 13 of Huaxia’s Yanhuang unit—how did he suddenly end up in this completely different world, suddenly become this frail, weakling, and, to top it off, this guy even had the same name as him?

Was it all because of that four-legged bronze cauldron?

His own blood... countless beams of white light shooting from the cauldron... an explosion like space shattering...

After lying there for a whole day, Andrew Walker finally finished analyzing all the information in his mind, and his frail body finally regained a bit of vitality. While he was unconscious, a physician had already set his shoulder bone, and his arm was wrapped in thick medicinal paste.

Letting out a long sigh, Andrew Walker stared at the top of the white gauze canopy and suddenly cursed, “Damn it, what kind of world is this!”

He sat up in bed, looked at his bare, skinny upper body, and sighed a second time.

“Even if I have to possess someone, even if we have the same name, couldn’t you at least pick me a better body? This one’s so weak, a gust of wind could blow it away...”
