He was standing right at the center of this vast space, and before him was a large mass of quietly burning flames.
These flames were strange, simply floating silently in midair, without any support whatsoever.
As Andrew Walker carefully observed the flames, they suddenly began to change.
The flames twisted and shifted gently, as if they possessed a human-like quality.
What surprised Andrew Walker even more was that these flames seemed to contain immense energy. Although there was no sign of wildness, they gave off an extremely intense feeling, and within that feeling, there was even a hint of familiarity.
Why did it feel familiar?
As Andrew Walker sensed the flames, a sudden thought struck him. When he had just arrived in this world and faced Grace Warren's deadly attack, a strange energy had suddenly appeared in his arm—wasn't that energy the same as the one emanating from these flames before him?
Understanding this, Andrew Walker was instantly overjoyed. Could it be that the energy which had helped him back then, and severely injured Grace Warren, had come from these very flames?
While Andrew Walker was still full of questions, the enormous bronze walls suddenly burst into bright light. An image appeared in the air like a slide projection. Before Andrew Walker could see it clearly, the image turned into a stream of light and vanished instantly into Andrew Walker's mind.
Andrew Walker felt as if something had suddenly been added to his mind, and what left the deepest impression were a few large, golden characters.
Eight Desolations God-Burying Art!
These five golden characters hung in the void of his mind like a golden sun, radiating a vast and majestic aura. As the five characters instantly dissolved into countless golden specks of light and scattered through Andrew Walker's mind, a cultivation method had already appeared within his consciousness.
Chapter Four: Eight Desolations Spirit-Gathering Cauldron
Andrew Walker closed his eyes and carefully reviewed the new things that had suddenly appeared in his mind. When he opened his eyes again, he was filled with excitement.
From this inexplicably added memory, Andrew Walker was delighted to discover that something strange and unexplainable had happened to his body: he was now actually inside his own mind—or rather, the one standing here was just his "soul," while his physical body was still soaking in the wooden tub, bathing in hot water.
Andrew Walker's soul was now inside the inner space of a cauldron, and this cauldron was located in the deepest part of his mind, just a tiny, almost undetectable point. Yet within it was another space, a world unto itself, as if it formed its own universe. This cauldron was the very four-legged bronze cauldron that Andrew Walker had seen before his death in his previous life.
All Andrew Walker remembered was that he had spilled his blood upon it, and then the four-legged bronze cauldron had suddenly burst into a blazing light, as if it had awakened. In the end, as if the heavens and earth had collapsed, Andrew Walker had inexplicably arrived in this world. What he hadn't expected was that the four-legged bronze cauldron had come with him, and now existed in his mind in this mysterious way.
This ancient cauldron had a name: the Eight Desolations Spirit-Gathering Cauldron. As for its origins, Andrew Walker had not received any information at all.
"Eight Desolations Spirit-Gathering Cauldron, cauldron, oh cauldron, I don't know where you came from... but even if you needed a host, a soul to possess, you could have found me a better body." Understanding the strange things that had happened to his body, Andrew Walker let out a dissatisfied sigh in his heart. But soon, Andrew Walker became optimistic again: "But it's fine, at least you had a bit of conscience and didn't push me to a dead end. After all, you still left me a way out..."
Where was the way out?
The way out was in that huge mass of fire floating in the void within the cauldron.
The reason Andrew Walker couldn't cultivate the Body-Strengthening Art was because two of his meridians were atrophied. But now, Andrew Walker had found a solution: to reconstruct his meridians!
The mass of flames burning in the void before Andrew Walker was the most important part of this cauldron. It was a blazing flame of pure spiritual energy, and the solution to his atrophied meridians could begin with this energy flame.
Focusing his mind on the flames, Andrew Walker quickly sensed the familiar energy within them. This energy had once allowed Andrew Walker's frail body to severely injure Grace Warren, who had already reached the fifth level of the Body-Strengthening Realm. In this world, this energy was called spiritual energy—something only those who had reached the peak of the ninth level of the Body-Strengthening Realm and broken through the bottleneck to become true spiritual cultivators could possess.
Ordinary practitioners had to break through the Body-Strengthening Realm and become spiritual cultivators before they could absorb the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, storing it deep within their minds in a mysterious way for their own use. Those who had not become spiritual cultivators could not possess spiritual energy. Yet now, Andrew Walker had become a true anomaly.
