Chapter 7

This is a newly developed technology of his, which, with the cooperation of certain specialized machines, can achieve naked-eye stereoscopic projection effects. At present, it is still in the experimental stage and has only been installed in his residence and office.

Very soon, the projection was played, and Tony Stark quickly saw the scene of a robbery: a tall woman dressed in ancient Greek-style armor was facing a group of armed robbers. She was actually able to withstand their attacks with her bare body, and then, using astonishing martial arts, swept these robbers to the ground. She could even conjure a glowing golden rope out of thin air, and in just a moment, had subdued all the robbers.

Those who were caught by this rope began to speak the truth involuntarily, confessing on the spot how they had planned the robbery, who their insider was, who the ringleader was, and so on—all admitting everything themselves.

The whole process was extremely bizarre!

“This…” Tony Stark was instantly dumbfounded.

To be precise, this was the first time he had truly come into contact with a being from the extraordinary side.

In the past, the most he knew about were some official organizations conducting human modification experiments, which at best only made people a bit stronger or faster than normal. He had only discovered this by accident when he had JARVIS search for information online.

But these people were still far weaker than the officially recorded strength of Captain America from decades ago, let alone compared to this Wonder Woman in front of him.

Just over a minute of combat footage had already revealed a huge amount of information.

Super speed, far surpassing the fastest known creatures on earth—how long did it take her to cross a hundred meters? Maybe a second, or two?

Super strength, easily crushing the robbers’ guns with her bare hands, and stopping a getaway vehicle with a single punch.

Invulnerability—although it was still unclear to what degree she was bulletproof, at the very least, cold weapons were definitely ineffective, and even among firearms, light weapons did nothing. Ordinary bullets hitting her body only produced a metallic clanging sound.

And that unknown glowing rope, which could automatically ensnare people and seemed to have the power to make them tell the truth—clearly a mythical artifact, not an ordinary item.

In just an instant, Tony Stark’s mind had analyzed so much information, but it was obvious that this was not the limit of Wonder Woman’s abilities.

Super speed, super strength, and invulnerability—these might not even be her full extent, since she was only facing a group of ordinary people and might not have used her full power.

“So, are all the superheroes that Brian Carter mentioned this kind of superhuman?” Tony Stark suddenly felt a sense of urgency.

Chapter 6: Lottery, Super Soldier Serum

The sense of insecurity in Tony Stark’s heart exploded. In the world of ordinary people, Tony Stark, this super-capitalist, was undoubtedly at the top of the pyramid, able to chat and laugh even with the President of the United States.

But when facing these superhumans, he was nothing more than a weakling unable to even truss a chicken.

If Wonder Woman wanted to harm him, even an entire top-tier security team would be defeated as easily as chopping vegetables.

Moreover, according to what he knew, including what Brian Carter had mentioned, there were already several superhumans at the superhero level: the superhero from decades ago, Captain America, the recently mentioned Hulk, Abomination, and now this Wonder Woman.

In Brian Carter’s words, this world was a dangerous one. Who knows, even more so-called superheroes might appear in the future. And if the phenomenon of the DC universe interfering with their Marvel universe wasn’t just an isolated case, it could mean that even more DC superheroes would enter their universe. By then, the whole world might descend into chaos.

No, he had to find a way to deal with these people.

“JARVIS, create a brand new character file. Name it Wonder Woman!” Tony Stark said. “Put it in the same category as Brian Carter’s file!”

“Yes, sir, it’s been created!” JARVIS replied.

“Use big data to analyze the possible limits of Wonder Woman’s strength and speed. Also, since she’s appeared so openly in public, it probably won’t be the last time. So, find a way to monitor news of her next appearance and keep her information database updated long-term!” Tony Stark said. “For now, her alignment is tentatively set as lawful good, but we also need to develop weapons specifically targeting her. Create a new research file for advanced energy firearms—ones that can deal with superhumans, not just ordinary people!”

For ordinary light weapons, humanity hadn’t made any major updates in decades, since they were already more than enough against regular people. But for superhumans, they were clearly far from sufficient.
