“Let’s go, my dear child, let us become light!”
King and Queen each took one of Prince’s hands, walking toward the exit of the grand hall. The massive doors swung open, and a blinding light illuminated the entire world. Before their eyes was a gigantic altar floating in the air, from which milky-white flames soared skyward. Beneath the altar stretched an endless army of machines!
That light did not come from the sun, but from these countless mechas, each one powerful enough to conquer a planet. It was precisely this power that made the Maya Empire invincible and unstoppable!
The entire Earth was densely packed with robots... not a single living creature remained, only robots. All the robots’ eyes simultaneously gazed at the one and only altar, and at their one and only King!
Beyond Earth, the entire solar system was filled with massive interstellar warships, packed tightly together. On every warship, soldiers stood solemnly, watching the altar and the appearance of King, Queen, and Prince on their screens... and these soldiers, too, were all robots.
The interstellar warships stretched out from the solar system, their end still nowhere in sight. This was the invincible fleet of the Maya civilization—no other civilization could withstand their assault; they could destroy an entire star system at will.
And today, all the soldiers of the Maya civilization and its vassal states were to witness a glorious moment: their great King was about to become a god, become light, and shine eternally upon this universe!
Gazing at the sacred altar, King raised his hand, and all the soldiers raised their weapons in unison, shouting in perfect order—Long live King!
This cry quickly spread throughout the universe. In this dimension, the Maya civilization was already invincible!
But the Maya civilization now had only three members left. Now, they were to fulfill the ancestors’ ultimate goal: to become gods, to merge with the universe.
It was a solemn and magnificent moment. Countless robots draped in pure white robes began to chant scriptures, recounting the great history of the Maya civilization. At this moment, all subjects would bear witness together.
Three People slowly floated toward the altar, their bodies unbound by gravity. Soon, Three People reached the entrance of the altar, where blazing white flames burned before them—the future danced within those flames.
This was the ultimate power of the Maya civilization. Only by merging with the universe could they reach their final destination—the Maya civilization’s ultimate end.
King, Queen, and Prince silently looked at one another, then solemnly placed their hands on their heads and gently removed their own heads.
“At this glorious moment, let us face the world with our true selves!” King’s head declared solemnly. After speaking, his hand slowly tore away his hair, then his face, revealing a semicircular transparent vessel inside, within which a red brain pulsed.
After King finished, Queen and Prince also completed this return-to-truth feat.
Their bodies respectfully raised the brains in their hands and slowly pushed them forward. Three brains, bearing the final imprint of the Maya civilization, floated toward the center of the flames.
Silence. The entire world was utterly still.
It was as if time and space had stopped. But in the next instant, the soaring flames compressed violently and vanished in a flash. Immediately after, a beam of white light shot skyward, piercing into space. The white light spread, and everything was fused into the light.
Breaking through the limits of time and space, everything turned into light. Then came a tremendous explosion—the solar system vanished from existence, and the Maya civilization would forever become history, a faint sadness drifting through the universe.
In the early days of the Maya civilization, there was a great King named Ralph Waldo Emerson, who claimed to be the sun...
The universe is not three-dimensional, nor seven-dimensional, but of infinite dimensions. Its origin lies at a single point, from which parallel universes branch out. They share a common source but have different outcomes. For example, the same Earth, from the moment of its birth, possessed countless possibilities for development. Each possibility would form a universe. On one Earth, the dinosaurs went extinct and a mammal called humanity ruled the world. But in other parallel universes, perhaps the dinosaurs never went extinct and continued to thrive.
Every possibility can give rise to a form of existence. Parallel universes may be similar or completely different. In some universes, Earth may never have had life at all, while in others, Earth developed to the ultimate height of civilization. Similarities also exist: for example, humanity rules Earth, but the first emperor who unified China was not named Ying Zheng, Einstein did not invent relativity, but his father did, and even subtler differences.
All of these are parallel universes. There are unbreakable cosmic laws between parallel universes. Even when the Maya civilization reached such heights, they could not violate this rule. Anything that dared to challenge it would be destroyed in the attempt. When this conclusion was reached, the Maya civilization lost its purpose for existence.
