It is said that mechanical imps, mechanical gargoyles, titans, diamond dragons, and so on are all extremely powerful alchemical creations. The first two are so common that they can be seen everywhere, while titans and diamond dragons have only ever appeared in ancient myths. However, their power is beyond doubt. The most important component of a titan is its core power source, the Titan’s Heart. Only with the Titan’s Heart can a titan be activated. Of course, obtaining the other parts of a titan is no easy feat either, and assembling a complete titan is nearly impossible. But just the Titan’s Heart alone would fetch at least hundreds of thousands of gold coins on the market as a precious item.
Although Ryan Bennett does not intend to sell it, because the Titan’s Heart is something every mechanical alchemist dreams of, and the thrill of possessing an item worth hundreds of thousands of gold coins is not something ordinary people can experience.
Ryan Bennett carefully played with the dazzling sapphire, unable to put it down. Only after a long while did he finally put the Titan’s Heart into his bag.
There were also two parchment scrolls that Ryan Bennett took out. These two items were also quite valuable.
Mechanical Alchemy Blueprint: Used to craft a mechanical gargoyle. Requires intermediate engineering. Materials needed: two metal blocks, five deep blue gems, five emerald gems. The gargoyle comes with the skills Frost Breath and Ice Ring.
Mechanical gargoyles are a tier above mechanical imps, belonging to a higher grade of mechanical puppet. Currently, there are not many mechanical alchemists who can command a mechanical gargoyle; at most, there are only one or two across the entire server. A tier-one mechanical gargoyle’s combat power is equivalent to that of a tier-three mechanical imp, or even higher. The market price is around one hundred thousand gold coins, and even then, it’s priceless and hard to find. Most of those gargoyles only have one skill, and it’s very rare to see a gargoyle with two skills.
Ryan Bennett guessed that if he could craft a tier-one, dual-skill gargoyle and put it on the market, it would probably fetch around two hundred thousand gold coins. However, at a price of two hundred thousand gold coins, only some large guilds could afford it; ordinary players would find it very difficult to pay such a hefty sum.
Ryan Bennett already had the metal blocks, but as for the five deep blue gems and five emerald gems—the market price for a deep blue gem is two thousand gold coins, and for an emerald gem, it’s one thousand five hundred gold coins. That means Ryan Bennett would need to save up seventeen thousand five hundred gold coins to craft a gargoyle.
Why does Ryan Bennett feel like he’s getting further and further away from his goal of leveling up?
Originally, he only needed a few thousand gold coins to get on the path to leveling up, but now he needs seventeen thousand five hundred gold coins.
The road ahead is long and arduous—just consider this as laying the groundwork for future leveling. After all, mechanical imps are much weaker than mechanical gargoyles. If he really could craft a dual-skill mechanical gargoyle, his leveling speed would definitely increase a lot. Just think of it as accumulating strength for a big breakthrough.
As for the other scroll, Ryan Bennett took a look.
Goblin’s Treasure Map: We were driven from our homeland, forced into the dreadful Plaguelands, where many of our kin died in agony from disease. Our future holds no hope. In order to escape this nightmare, we buried our last possessions in the Western Plaguelands.
Ryan Bennett looked at the route on the treasure map, feeling a surge of indignation. God gave him a piece of roast meat, but forgot to give him the teeth to eat it. Because the goblin treasure is buried in the Western Plaguelands!
Bracada is located at the southernmost tip of the Enzes Continent, while Essey’s Western Plaguelands are at the northernmost tip. If Ryan Bennett wants to seek the treasure in the Western Plaguelands, he must cross the human nation of Erathia, the elven nation of Harmondale, and the undead nation of Deya. The human and elven nations are not too difficult, as they are part of the Angel Alliance with Bracada and allow free passage. But Deya is part of the Evil Alliance, and there are frequent wars between the two alliances, with deep-seated grudges. Trying to cross an Evil Alliance nation to reach Essey’s Western Plaguelands is incredibly difficult! Even top experts above level forty dare not attempt it.
For Ryan Bennett, obtaining this treasure is nothing but an illusion.
Ryan Bennett sighed, putting aside these unrealistic thoughts for now, and decided to honestly be a miner. It seems his path as a miner still has a long way to go. There’s no other way—he can only keep picking up his pickaxe and mining to make a living.
“Big sister, if he’s been dismissed, doesn’t that mean he’s out of a job?” Amber Miller asked worriedly.
Grace Miller smiled gently, “Has our little girl taken a liking to him?” Grace Miller’s smile was always so reserved and graceful, dignified and elegant.
Amber Miller blushed, pouting, “Of course not.”
“Then who was just staring at him in a daze?” Grace Miller said with a laugh.
Amber Miller stomped her foot in embarrassment and said anxiously, “I was just curious about what he was doing, that’s all.” Her face was flushed with a rosy glow, as intoxicating as a jar of aged daughter’s red wine, drawing the attention of passersby.
“All right, all right, don’t be upset,” Grace Miller comforted her. “Everyone has their own future, and it’s up to him to seize it—no one else can help him. We just happened to meet him at a certain point in our lives. Even if some of his actions caught your attention, we’re just passing strangers. Maybe in a day or two, you’ll forget all about him. There’s no need to care so much.”
