The ghost was swatted away by the Wolf King with a single swipe, and the contract sorcerer had no time to grieve for his summoned creature, instead dashing into the woods with the others.
The Sword Immortal lured the Wolf King in the opposite direction, preparing to sacrifice himself to save his teammates. The rest glanced reluctantly at Arthur Knight, then sprinted away. Clearly, they had worked together seamlessly before and knew exactly what to do, avoiding unnecessary sacrifice.
The Wolf King leapt, pouncing toward Arthur Knight. It looked like Arthur Knight was about to be killed by the Wolf King.
“Big brother!” The Preacher threw himself in front of Arthur Knight. Splat—blood sprayed everywhere as The Preacher was instantly killed by the Wolf King.
At that moment, Andrew Bennett's memories suddenly flashed back to the past. Brother—Andrew Bennett hadn't thought about that word in a long time, because every time he did, his heart filled with guilt and pain. In a daze, he saw a young life wither and fade before his eyes. Blood splattered across his face.
“Xiao Wu.” Arthur Knight, eyes red with rage, charged at the Wolf King without caring whether he could win.
Andrew Bennett suppressed the turmoil in his heart. Fine, I'll help them this once.
Demonic Dark Force!
A black orb of light exploded on the Wolf King. Howling in pain, the Wolf King turned around. Arthur Knight's basic sword technique struck it as well.
The Wolf King was already low on health, and after taking two hits in a row, it was in agony. The Demonic Dark Force was especially powerful—it had never suffered such a severe wound before. Ignoring Arthur Knight's attacks, it charged at Andrew Bennett.
Seeing someone come to help, Arthur Knight's mind cleared, and he desperately tried to slow the Wolf King's advance.
Ten seconds later, another Demonic Dark Force.
The Wolf King roared, crashed heavily to the ground, and died.
A white light flashed over Andrew Bennett, and he leveled up, now able to learn Mind Lash. Feeling a bit surprised and delighted, he took out the Mind Lash skill book and fused it into a white light.
Arthur Knight let out a breath, picked up three items from the ground—presumably dropped by the Wolf King.
Arthur Knight walked up to Andrew Bennett: “My name is David Grant. Thank you for saving me.”
Andrew Bennett replied calmly, “It was nothing, just a small favor.”
But this “small favor” came with the risk of losing a level. David Grant felt grateful and handed over the three items dropped by the Wolf King: “These are the things the Wolf King dropped.”
Andrew Bennett glanced at David Grant, feeling a bit of goodwill toward him. “You all killed the Wolf King, I didn't contribute much. Besides, I got all the experience. You should keep these three items.”
“You saved me, so you deserve them.”
“No need.” Andrew Bennett turned to leave.
David Grant was momentarily stunned, then realized Andrew Bennett didn't want to talk much. He quickly caught up and said, “You saved me, I can't keep all these for myself. One of these three pieces of equipment is for black wizards—let me give it to you.”
Andrew Bennett was moved. The Wolf King's drops were surely valuable, given its high level and BOSS status. If he refused, David Grant would probably keep pestering him. So Andrew Bennett accepted the item from David Grant—an unidentified robe, restricted to black wizards.

Chapter 6: Sea Silk Wizard Robe
After learning Mind Lash and combining it with Demonic Dark Force, Andrew Bennett's monster-killing speed increased significantly.
Andrew Bennett ran through the Demonic Devil Art once, and a warm current flowed through his body.
You have comprehended a body-protection technique: Demonic Body Protection. Grade: Supreme. Each level increases defense by 3%.
Andrew Bennett was momentarily stunned. Weren't body-protection techniques supposed to require a skill book to learn? Could it be that the Demonic Devil Art secretly contained a body-protection technique? Andrew Bennett had never been able to bring himself to learn Iron Shirt, since it was only a low-grade body-protection skill book. But now, he had directly learned a supreme-grade body-protection technique, saving a skill book. Andrew Bennett was pleasantly surprised—Demonic Body Protection was much stronger than Iron Shirt.
Andrew Bennett then thought of the level 10 movement technique. He wondered if the Demonic Devil Art included a level 10 movement skill as well. Since it had a body-protection technique, it probably had a movement skill too. Sometimes, luck is more important than strength. He recalled how, when he played World, he fought desperately just to make it into the top ten of the rankings, only to be pushed out when someone else randomly got a divine artifact. Now, the tables had turned. Ever since he started playing Prehistoric, his luck had been great. First, he learned the Shennong Herbal Classic, then the Chiyou Blood Classic, and the Chiyou Blood Classic even contained a supreme body-protection technique.
Andrew Bennett couldn't help but sigh—when luck comes, nothing can stop it.
Mind Lash!
Demonic Dark Force!
A wild wolf was effortlessly slain, and Andrew Bennett picked up the equipment it dropped, continuing his monotonous monster-hunting journey.
“Stone Fungus Grass.” Andrew Bennett happily walked to a rock, carefully picking the Stone Fungus Grass. Stone Fungus Grass is an ingredient for making [***] Pills; each stalk can make one [***] Pill. Andrew Bennett picked two stacks plus five more stalks, with each stack containing ten, enough to make twenty-five [***] Pills. [***] Pills are basic healing potions, restoring ten HP per second for one minute. However, the shop price is outrageous—five gold coins per stack. If he sold [***] Pills, even at four gold per stack, he'd still make a profit.
