Five seconds!
Ten Thousand Ghosts Devour the Heart!
The little demon was struck by a spell, sobered up considerably, and lunged fiercely at Andrew Bennett.
Andrew Bennett hurriedly flew backward.
The fear only lasted for two seconds; Andrew Bennett felt a bit disappointed. He had hoped that if the fear effect could last a bit longer, he could fire off another Demonic Dark Force.
Andrew Bennett kept retreating as the little demon pounced right in front of him.
Bang!
The Demonic Dark Force finally had enough time to charge.
The little demon spat out a mouthful of blood and staggered to the ground. The abundant experience points allowed Andrew Bennett, who was already close to leveling up, to gain another level. Andrew Bennett was overjoyed; he had thought he would need to kill several more level-seven monsters to level up, but it happened so quickly. He added two points to Spirit. Checking the little demon’s corpse, he found a staff, unidentified. There was no way to appraise equipment here, so Andrew Bennett could only helplessly toss the staff into his Qiankun Ring.

Chapter 11: Resurrection Spell
Another day passed. Andrew Bennett picked the demon grass from the corner of the bushes—five full sets now. Although he didn’t know what they were for, practicing the herbalism skill was still worthwhile; his herbalism skill had risen to 532/1000.
Nine pieces of unidentified equipment, two of which he could use himself—the haul was quite substantial. The drop rate for equipment out here was much lower than in this place. Maybe it was because the monsters here were stronger than those outside.
Andrew Bennett swung the willow staff in his hand. This staff was too outdated. He hadn’t felt it before, but ever since he got an unidentified staff, the feeling became obvious. Knowing there was a staff he could use but not being able to equip it was a truly frustrating and anxious experience.
Demonic Dark Force!
As usual, when Andrew Bennett saw a little demon appear ahead, he mercilessly hit it with a spell.
Bang!
How could this be? Why is the damage so low?
Andrew Bennett was a bit surprised. The little demon turned around, and only then did Andrew Bennett realize that this little demon was different from the others—it looked even more ferocious. Andrew Bennett glanced at its name: Fallen Little Demon.
A BOSS monster. Andrew Bennett didn’t hesitate and ran for the exit. No way—he could barely handle two level-seven little demons, let alone a level-seven BOSS.
The Fallen Little Demon brandished its dagger and charged at Andrew Bennett.
Bang! Andrew Bennett fired a Demonic Dark Force, trying to slow down the Fallen Little Demon, but such an action was clearly futile. Compared to its massive health pool, the damage from Demonic Dark Force was negligible.
Demonic Dark Force skill proficiency 100/100, upgraded to Intermediate. The skill finally leveled up, and Andrew Bennett was a bit delighted. He turned back and used Demonic Dark Force, treating the Fallen Little Demon as a guinea pig for an experiment.
Attack damage increased tenfold! Andrew Bennett was shocked by the powerful skill damage. It was hard to imagine that Intermediate Demonic Dark Force could be so destructive.
With Intermediate Demonic Dark Force, Andrew Bennett finally had some chance of winning. But he still didn’t dare face the Fallen Little Demon head-on. Man and demon began a contest of speed. Andrew Bennett was much slower than the Fallen Little Demon, but after all, humans are intelligent beings. Andrew Bennett wasn’t foolish enough to race the little demon on flat ground. The little demon’s short stature meant it was much slower than Andrew Bennett among the uneven piles of rocks. Andrew Bennett watched mockingly as the little demon struggled to crawl through the rocks, while he chose to leap from boulder to boulder.
From time to time, he would hit the Fallen Little Demon with a Demonic Dark Force, then wait for it to slowly crawl over before jumping to another giant rock.
Andrew Bennett lost count of how many times he repeated this action. From morning until afternoon, Andrew Bennett truly felt a bit tired.
Bang! The Fallen Little Demon finally couldn’t withstand the attrition and collapsed to the ground. Once again, Andrew Bennett experienced the terrifying health pool of a BOSS monster—something his level could hardly challenge.
Andrew Bennett picked up the loot dropped by the Fallen Little Demon.
Two skill books! Andrew Bennett was excited; it had been a long time since he’d gotten a skill book. What would they be this time? And what was the other thing? Andrew Bennett picked up the glowing item on the ground. A Qiankun Ring—Andrew Bennett was a bit puzzled. Could it be that you could wear multiple Qiankun Rings in this game?
Andrew Bennett put the Qiankun Ring on another finger, and sure enough, it worked! Andrew Bennett calmed his excitement and checked the newly dropped Qiankun Ring. This one had 40 slots, twice as many as the one he was originally given.
Andrew Bennett picked up the two skill books and took a look, a bit stunned—there were actually such things in the game.
Resurrection Spell: Basic. Revive dead monsters to fight for you. Revived monsters last for 3 minutes. Skill cooldown: 20 seconds. Instant cast. Maximum number of revived monsters: 3.
Demon Pill Recipe: Demon Pill. Sell your soul to a demon in exchange for great power. Spirit +2. Materials: 3 demon grass. Only usable by Dark Sorcerers. Each person can consume up to 3.
He hadn’t expected the Fallen Little Demon to drop such great items. The Resurrection Spell could practically make him a summoner even stronger than a contract master, and the Demon Pill was also good, boosting Spirit by 6 points.
Without hesitation, Andrew Bennett activated two flashes of white light and learned both the Resurrection Spell and Demon Pill.
