He entered the game again to grind monsters, killing one Mighty Ant after another. But this time, William Carter’s luck wasn’t so good. After killing over a hundred Mighty Ants, not a single dimensional crystal dropped.

William Carter remained calm and patient, continuing to grind in the ant nest.

Suddenly, William Carter spotted a particularly unusual Mighty Ant among the swarm.

This Mighty Ant was blood-red all over, as if dyed in fresh blood, clearly different from the surrounding black Mighty Ants. It was also slightly larger, making it stand out to William Carter at a glance.

Seeing the red Mighty Ant charge out, William Carter cautiously probed it and quickly discovered that its strength and speed were both much greater than the black Mighty Ants, though still within his ability to handle.

After a series of maneuvers, the scarlet avatar managed to land several attacks on the red Mighty Ant, but only inflicted very minor damage—nowhere near enough to kill it.

Still, he could see the red Mighty Ant’s health bar slowly decreasing. It would probably take over a hundred hits to bring it down.

Fortunately, the red Mighty Ant was only a bit faster than the regular black ones, so the scarlet avatar had enough time to dodge and maneuver. Killing it was just a matter of time.

However, the number of black Mighty Ants kept growing, making William Carter a bit worried. At this rate, he might be overwhelmed by the swarm before he could kill the red Mighty Ant.

But there was nothing else he could do. William Carter could only try to speed up his control of the scarlet avatar and attack the red Mighty Ant as much as possible.

The red Mighty Ant’s health was dropping lower and lower, almost depleted, but the surrounding ants were also increasing, leaving the scarlet avatar with less and less room to maneuver.

Crack!

The scarlet avatar failed to dodge in time and was bitten by a black Mighty Ant, losing nearly half its health instantly.

William Carter knew he was almost done for, so he controlled the blood-red avatar to use the last of its strength to strike at the red Mighty Ant.

Boom!

With this punch, the red Mighty Ant was hit in a vital spot, and its last sliver of health was wiped out. Its blood-red carapace suddenly burst open, and two crystals exploded out from its body.

William Carter didn’t have time to check the attributes of the two dimensional crystals. He immediately controlled the nearly dead scarlet avatar to pick them both up.

The scarlet avatar had just picked up the two dimensional crystals when it was overwhelmed by the swarm of Mighty Ants. In no time, the game screen went completely black.

William Carter saw two notifications pop up on the game screen and let out a long sigh of relief. He already knew from experience that as long as he picked up the dimensional crystals before dying, they would be useful to him.

“Killed mutated Mighty Ant of the Mortal stage, discovered Vitality Crystal.”

Seeing the two notifications on his phone screen, William Carter was slightly stunned. He had seen many Vitality Crystals before, but this was the first time he’d seen a dimensional crystal named after the Mighty Ant.

After a brief daze, William Carter immediately reacted. Although he had never seen this kind of dimensional crystal before, he had heard of their existence. In school textbooks and online videos, people had used similar crystals, though those were not Mighty Ant Crystals, but crystals from other dimensional creatures.

“Could this be the legendary type of dimensional crystal?” William Carter was ecstatic, when suddenly he felt a strange power emanate from his phone, instantly spreading throughout his body.

Chapter 3: Mighty God Fist

A force like a thunderbolt surged through William Carter’s entire body. This sensation was already familiar to William Carter—it was the feeling he got when absorbing a Vitality Crystal. Only this time, it was far more intense than ever before, many times stronger than the level 5 Vitality Crystal he had absorbed previously.

“What level is this Vitality Crystal? How can it be so intense?” William Carter was still marveling when he felt another force rush into his body.
