Earth’s mecha technology has only emerged for a few decades and is still in its early stages. The mecha before him, in both appearance and performance, surpassed the mechas Jason Carter knew by countless eras.
At the very least, it could fly from the sky to the ground like a meteor. The mechas Jason Carter was familiar with so far only had advanced jumping capabilities. Of course, there were also flying mechas, but those were basically variants of fighter jets and didn’t really possess the flexibility or combat capabilities of true mechas.
Suddenly, a hatch opened in the belly of the mecha, and a “person” walked out. It should be a person, but Jason Carter had never seen anyone like this before, not even on television.
A huge head, bizarrely long and thin limbs, extremely ugly large eyes, and skin that was neither green nor gray.
“An alien, an alien, I’ve seen an alien…” Jason Carter stared in disbelief at the figure before him, shocked, excited, and fearful all at once. He felt as if he might faint at any moment, but couldn’t quite pass out.
“%¥#%#&…” The alien opened its mouth and babbled a string of words that Jason Carter couldn’t understand at all.
Jason Carter widened his eyes, suppressing his excitement and fear, and said, “I’m very glad to meet you, Mr. Alien, but I can’t understand what you’re saying…”
“&…%^(&” The alien spoke again, but Jason Carter still couldn’t understand.
After switching through more than a dozen languages, the alien finally said something that left Jason Carter both astonished and overjoyed: “Hello, carbon-based intelligent life form from a level-one civilized planet…”
“Carbon-based intelligent life form from a level-one civilized planet?” Jason Carter asked, “Is that supposed to be me?”
“That’s right, low-level carbon-based organism,” the alien replied.
Jason Carter immediately became angry, momentarily forgetting his fear, and said, “What kind of way is that to talk? You come to Earth as a guest and call us low-level organisms? Just because you’re an alien, you think you’re so great?”
But then he realized that the alien really was impressive, and might even capture him for some horrific experiments. The thought sent a chill down his spine.
Still, he couldn’t lose face, even if he lost his life—especially not the face of the entire Earth. Jason Carter immediately asked, “We’re a level-one civilization, so what level are you? Where are you from? And how do you know our language?”
…
“We are a level-five civilization, which is the intermediate stage of interstellar civilizations. Your level one is considered primitive, and there’s about a forty-thousand-year development gap between us. I come from the Sith Empire of the Alpha star system, and I am an energy mecha warrior. The reason I know your language is because your language, or rather, the languages of all civilized star systems in the universe, are stored in a massive database. Whenever I want, I can access the data storage system in my brain and use my vocal system to convert the Alpha star system’s universal language into your language to speak…”
Chapter Two: The Alien (Part Two)
Jason Carter was stunned again, because this alien had just revealed several terrifying pieces of information.
First: This alien was an energy mecha warrior—the very profession he dreamed of.
Second: Earth’s language information, or rather, all of Earth’s information, was in the alien’s database. In other words, we know nothing about them, but they know everything about us. In their eyes, Earthlings are like naked children, or, if they wished, they could wipe out Earth at any time.
Third: This alien’s brain even had a database, which showed that their brain development was already quite advanced. Humans have only developed three or four percent of their brains, but this alien might have developed several dozen percent. And they also have a so-called vocal system, which means they’re already half-human, half-machine? Could this be the future direction of human evolution? Jason Carter shuddered at the thought.
“That’s right, our brain regions have been developed to about fifty-five percent. Most parts of our bodies are already made of digital materials—in other words, we are the half-human, half-machine beings you imagine. The reason we don’t attack Earth is because Earth is small and useless. For example, would you Earthlings feel a desire to conquer an anthill just because you saw it, to attack the ants and take over their nest?” the alien suddenly said.
Jason Carter was so shocked his eyes nearly popped out. This alien could actually read his thoughts—this was truly terrifying.
“Speaking is a process of energy release, and so is thinking. Before a person speaks, they first think in their mind, then use their vocal system to express it. What’s in your mind just hasn’t been transmitted through the vocal system, but the energy fluctuations it causes are the same…” The alien continued to interpret Jason Carter’s thoughts.
“You can think of us as ants, but Earth is definitely not an anthill. She is beautiful and great,” Jason Carter said forcefully.
The one he admired most was the Sun, and the one he cherished most was the Earth.
