“You not only insulted my character, you also insulted my dignity.” Jason Carter immediately struggled fiercely, baring his teeth and waving his claws, but he was held in the hand of a mech over five meters tall and couldn’t move at all, so he suddenly spat fiercely at the alien.
The mech’s finger pointed, and that spit instantly turned to ashes, glowing as it scattered—a display that was truly dazzling and romantic.
“Wow, that move is awesome!” Jason Carter exclaimed in amazement.
“It’s just decomposing the water in your saliva into oxygen and hydrogen. The rest is mostly protease. The hydrogen burns, turning the protease and other impurities into ashes that fall away,” the alien explained.
Jason Carter immediately shook his head and said, “Aliens are so boring.”
Then, Jason Carter said, “So if you turn into me, what happens to the real me? How are you going to make me disappear?”
“Eat you,” the alien said blandly. “Although you’re a low-level carbon-based organism, basically junk food. But you’re still energy, and especially your brain contains a lot of high-level energy essence. Absorbing it will be very beneficial to me.”
“Eat me?” Jason Carter was instantly horrified, his hair almost standing on end.
Then, Jason Carter did the wisest thing.
“Help! Why do you aliens even eat people!” Jason Carter howled.
“Yell all you want, no one can hear you, and no one can see you now,” the alien said. “When I landed on Earth, it made such a commotion that your government and a bunch of others already surrounded this place so tightly that not even water could get through. Now, all around us are people and vehicles, thousands of them. But I used space folding, so they can’t see us, and you can’t see them.”
“Wow, you can even fold space. Aliens are amazing.” Jason Carter sighed. “Well, I’ll accept my fate. Since you’re going to eat me, can I make a few requests?”
“Mm, I agree,” the alien said.
“I haven’t even said them yet,” Jason Carter said.
“I already know. First, since I’ll be living as Jason Carter from now on, my height and face are familiar to people, so it’s not good to change them. But for your dignity, it’s best to make that thing down there bigger, preferably like the male leads in AV films—thick, big, and powerful. Second: go and win over Catherine Newman. Third: go and give Samuel Langley a good beating.”
“Talking to aliens is really boring.” Jason Carter said, “One last request: when you eat me, can you be a bit more civilized? Don’t chop me into pieces, don’t steam, boil, or fry me, and definitely don’t add any seasonings. Barbecue is especially terrifying. Best, best of all, could you not eat me at all?”
“Don’t worry, eating is just a verb. I’m just going to absorb all the energy from your body, or more precisely, merge your body into mine,” the alien said. “It’s not bloody, and it doesn’t hurt…”
“Oh, then go ahead and eat me. I promise I won’t beg for mercy. I can’t lose face for Earthlings. A real man should be tough.” Jason Carter said, resigning himself to his fate.
“Clack.” The mech’s hand loosened, and Jason Carter fell to the ground.
Then, under Jason Carter’s shocked gaze, the mech began to fold in on itself, getting smaller and smaller, until it finally folded from a giant over five meters tall into a cube the size of a fist—a Rubik’s cube with a strange metallic sheen.
This mech was just too incredible; it was impossible to imagine how many generations ahead of Earth’s mechs it was.
The alien picked up the cube, then said to Jason Carter, “Let’s begin.”
Immediately, the alien’s body suddenly turned black, sprouting a pair of huge wings, and the whole body split open with a giant mouth, pitch black as if it were a demon’s maw, ready to devour everything at any moment.
Jason Carter felt that the demon’s mouth suddenly generated a huge suction force, trying to swallow him whole.
Jason Carter immediately closed his eyes: “Maybe making a wish before being devoured will work better. I wish my dad, mom, and all my family health, long life, happiness, joy, and prosperity. I wish Catherine Newman happiness too. Loving someone isn’t about possession, it’s about hoping she’s happy… pfft, who am I kidding. I wish Catherine Newman never likes any man for her whole life, stays single forever, and never lets any other man even touch her finger. I wish Qidian’s business booms and its industry flourishes…”
Suddenly, Jason Carter felt everything go black, as if he’d fallen into hell, and instantly lost all sensation. He was devoured…
Chapter 3: The Peerless Beauties (Part 1)
“Jason Carter, get up, you’re going to be late.” Outside the bedroom, came the sound of urgent knocking. Mrs. Carter’s knocking had always been intense and hurried, as if the end of the world was coming, leaving no place for those sleeping to hide.
“So noisy, can’t anyone get some peace? I’m not going to school today, help me ask the teacher for leave. I’m done for, eaten by an alien. That’s a cool enough excuse, way better than having a 45-degree fever…”
“Ah! I was eaten by an alien?” Jason Carter suddenly sat up, staring around in shock. “I—I was eaten by an alien, wasn’t I? How am I still here?”
