Mr. David Miller was someone William Clark had already seen in more than one book; apparently, he was quite famous. William Clark somehow ended up sitting right next to Evelyn Blake, his eyes glued to the TV, unwilling to miss a single moment.
Seeing that the William Clark she was so afraid of had actually come to sit beside her, Evelyn Blake frowned and shifted away a bit. But William Clark didn’t notice at all, just kept staring at the TV without blinking, and there was even a bit of shiny drool at the corner of his mouth.
Chapter 007: Grandma Praises Me as a Good Baby
Looking at the utterly idiotic expression on William Clark’s face, Evelyn Blake felt a wave of disgust. She lost all interest in asking how he learned to cook and quickly ran upstairs to continue her work.
After watching Mr. Yang’s performance and explanation, William Clark immediately went out to the yard to start practicing. Upstairs, Evelyn Blake looked down at William Clark messing around in the yard and sighed, then went back to her work on the computer. As long as he didn’t make a huge fuss, that was already a help to her. Could she really expect a lunatic to accomplish anything significant?
William Clark completed an entire set of Tai Chi moves perfectly, with not a single difference from what was shown on TV. He felt quite satisfied with himself. He thought to himself that his memory was still as strong as ever. The Tai Chi on Earth really was impressive; even though the technology here wasn’t that advanced, there were still many things that Tianhong Continent couldn’t even dream of.
Like the Tai Chi he just learned—although it was mainly for health, it could indeed help him condense his star source faster. And then there were the poems and traditional Chinese medicine here. Some of the medical theories seemed laughable to him, but for a country with only five thousand years of civilization, it was already quite remarkable. It looked like he should make time to visit the library and read more of these books in the future.
Back inside, he headed straight for the kitchen. Seeing there were still some breakfast items on the stove, William Clark secretly felt relieved—at least there was food to eat this morning. He devoured more than a dozen buns in no time, then patted his belly, thinking how nice it was to have something to eat.
The sound of a car engine came from outside the yard. William Clark walked out of the kitchen, wondering who it could be, driving right up to the gate of his house.
As soon as he stepped out the front door, he saw a very beautiful blue Lamborghini parked in front of the villa. A young man dressed in Versace casual wear got out of the car and walked straight toward William Clark.
William Clark frowned; just looking at this guy made him uncomfortable. But he still recognized him—it was his third brother, Charles Clark.
Charles Clark walked up and saw William Clark strolling out, patting his belly in a leisurely way. A flash of surprise crossed his face, but he quickly returned to normal. “Heh, didn’t expect the fifth brother to be back. Looks like you’re recovering well. Are you normal now? Oh, how come I don’t see Evelyn?” As he spoke, he couldn’t be bothered to pay William Clark any more attention, just let his eyes wander around the house.
William Clark snorted coldly in his heart; he knew exactly why Charles Clark was here. Drool dripped from the corner of William Clark’s mouth as he stared at Charles Clark.
Being stared at by his crazy brother made Charles Clark feel creeped out. He casually pulled out a lighter and tossed it to William Clark. “Be good, go play by yourself.” With that, he immediately sidestepped William Clark and ran upstairs, wondering to himself: just a few days ago in the hospital, he’d put a hundred concentrated sleeping pills in his food—how was he still alive? This guy’s luck was really something.
Charles Clark had long coveted Evelyn Blake’s beauty, but with William Clark still around—even if he was a lunatic—he didn’t dare go too far. He’d tried flirting with Evelyn Blake a few times, but she had always rejected him harshly. He’d thought the lunatic would be dead by now, but unexpectedly, he saw him as soon as he arrived. Still, he didn’t take this lunatic seriously.
When William Clark saw Charles Clark daring to run upstairs to find Evelyn Blake, a cold glint flashed in his eyes. He was already thinking about killing Charles Clark. That look of surprise on Charles Clark’s face when he saw him at the door just now hadn’t escaped William Clark’s notice. His hospitalization was definitely related to this guy.
Evelyn Blake opened the door and saw that the one knocking wasn’t William Clark but Charles Clark. Disgust flashed in her eyes. “What are you doing here?”
“Heh, Evelyn, isn’t today the weekend? I wanted to invite you out for a meal. You’re not going to turn me down again, are you?” Charles Clark’s lecherous gaze was practically stripping Evelyn Blake with his eyes, staring fixedly at her chest.
Evelyn Blake felt a chill run through her whole body and immediately brushed past Charles Clark to go downstairs. “No time, I’m going grocery shopping with William Clark.”
Charles Clark raised an eyebrow, thinking to himself that with a lunatic, she probably hadn’t experienced the pleasures of being a woman yet. Hmph, today he was determined to get her. But just as he thought this, he heard a loud banging noise coming from outside. Charles Clark found it funny, thinking the lunatic was up to something again. But when his gaze swept toward the door, he suddenly bolted out like a wild dog with its tail on fire, shouting, “Crazy Lin, you stop right there!”
