Chapter 5

Sophia sat down helplessly, still a bit worried as she glanced back at Henry Bennett. Henry Bennett lay quietly on the desk, and the yellow light on the life monitor was so glaring!

A flood of information surged into Henry Bennett's brain, as if a storm was raging inside his mind. After a terrifying rampage, for some unknown reason, the violent storm suddenly contracted rapidly, condensing into a black vortex, like a black hole, then quietly lurking in his brain, as if nothing had happened at all.

"Teacher..." Sophia raised her hand again: "He... he doesn't look well!"

Ms. McLean turned her head, and the light on Henry Bennett's desk was shifting from yellow to red. Ms. McLean's heart sank, and she hurriedly ended her guidance for a student with a potential value over one hundred and thirty, quickly walking over. Although this student didn't have much potential for cultivation, she couldn't let him die in her classroom.

Halfway there, the light on Henry Bennett's desk suddenly turned back to yellow. Ms. McLean breathed a sigh of relief, but couldn't help feeling a bit annoyed at the student for wasting her time. She shot a glare at Henry Bennett, who was still lying on the desk, then turned and went back to the student with a potential value of one hundred and thirty.

Sophia's little face flushed bright red, but as a girl in her early teens, she really didn't have the courage to stand up and criticize the teacher. Those privileged students in the front row, who had already completed their fusion at home, quietly kept their heads down, reading their books. Everything happening in the classroom had nothing to do with them. They were here only because of federal law, forced to spend three years here before entering higher education.

Sophia nervously watched the light on Henry Bennett's desk. The yellow on the crystal pillar slowly faded, and when all the students in the class had completed their fusion, it finally turned green.

Sophia's anxious heart finally settled down.

When Henry Bennett woke up, the dazzling white walls around him were gone. Looking up, he saw a pair of concerned big eyes. Sophia saw he was awake and happily asked, "You're finally awake! Are you okay? Did you know the light on the life monitor almost turned red..."

Henry Bennett rubbed his head, feeling a bit heavy: "I'm fine, thank you." Usually quiet and reserved, he wasn't good at expressing his feelings. Sophia gave a sweet smile: "As long as you're okay." After all, they were still in class, so she turned around and sat properly. Henry Bennett felt a bit regretful, thinking he should have expressed his gratitude to this kind girl more directly.

"Alright, everyone, now that you've all completed your fusion, I'll guide you on how to use your evolution battle armor." Ms. McLean's lecture was still a bit mechanical, probably because he'd said these things to several classes over the years.

"First, you need to understand that the evolution battle armor is your life partner. You can't treat it as just a tool, but as your friend, your family. In the future, you will go through hardships together, so the idea of seeing the evolution battle armor as a mere tool is extremely ridiculous and wrong."

"The evolution battle armor is also alive. The armor that just fused with you is still in its growth phase. Right now, it can probably only protect your palm or forearm. When your evolution battle armor can protect your whole body, it will have passed the growth phase and officially entered maturity, the evolution phase. That is when the true power of the evolution battle armor is realized."

"Next, let's begin our first armor summoning." Ms. McLean demonstrated on the podium: "Extend your right hand, relax your body, but focus your mind. Imagine your evolution battle armor in your mind, and then you'll feel a force flowing out from your heart. That's right, that's the power of the armor, which we call armor energy. You need to guide this armor energy, stimulate it to erupt, understand? There are many ways to stimulate an eruption, but the most common is the 'mantra.' This term comes from an ancient religion, meaning to use words to stimulate it. You can set your own mantra. The teacher's mantra is: Long live the Flower of Kate, erupt..."

With Ms. McLean's shout, a rose-red light burst from her heart, enveloping her body. The light solidified, and a suit of metallic armor covered in patterns appeared on her.

With a "swish," the two steel clasps on Ms. McLean's helmet retracted to the back, the mask on her face slid down, and her face was revealed: "Alright, everyone can try it themselves. There are many ways to stimulate the eruption of armor energy. If you have a method that suits you better, you don't have to use a mantra."

Ms. McLean's dazzling evolution battle armor drew envious looks from most of the students, including Henry Bennett sitting in the back row. Seeing the students' envious eyes, Ms. McLean felt a small sense of satisfaction. She smiled: "Alright, everyone, go ahead and try."
