This course does not exist in the Federal Secondary Academy, because the vast majority of students are not yet capable of reaching this level. Yet, unexpectedly, Sophia's A-energy actually circulated four times within her internal organs—whereas even ordinary advanced evolutionary warriors can only maintain three cycles. No wonder the teacher was so excited, immediately taking her to see the principal, not even bothering with the students who were still cultivating.
Chapter 005: Another Storm Arises
After school in the afternoon, Henry Bennett didn’t go home right away. He still had a job—every day after school, he worked at a privately-owned pharmacy, and this job covered his living expenses.
“Uncle, I’m here.” Henry Bennett pushed open the shop door. The chubby, fair-skinned middle-aged owner, Faber, was inside drinking tea. This was the slowest time of day for business.
“Oh, Little Henry, you’re here. So, how’s the workload at the Federal Secondary Academy?” Faber was a very kind person. When he was young, he too had dreams and ambitions, but unfortunately, he ran headlong into the rigid class system of the Federation. By middle age, he was running this pharmacy, earning a decent income. Five years ago, he donated a large sum in “taxes” to accumulate enough contribution points to finally upgrade his status to citizen.
“It’s alright. How’s business today?” He casually chatted with Faber. “Same as usual. There haven’t been any big competitions or wars lately, so potion sales aren’t high.”
While chatting with Faber, Henry Bennett began his work. His main job was to check the potions. Although they were sorted by computer, potions could be deadly if used incorrectly, so Faber specifically hired someone to double-check that the potions and their labels matched, to prevent any accidents.
Besides this, Henry Bennett was also responsible for cleaning the shop. Cleaning robots were very expensive, so for a small shop like this, it was more cost-effective to hire someone to clean.
After three hours of work, Henry Bennett finally dragged his tired body back to his apartment.
He threw himself onto the bed to rest for a while, then got up to make something simple to eat. As he scooped up some instant food and brought it to his mouth, that annoying voice of Achilles sounded again: “Why are you still eating this junk food? I protest! I want a feast!” Henry Bennett replied helplessly, “You know my financial situation. Where would I get the money for a feast?” While talking to Achilles in his mind, he had already stuffed a spoonful of food into his mouth. No matter how much this guy complained, he still had to fill his stomach first.
Achilles was very dissatisfied: “You’re so unambitious! I, Achilles, absolutely refuse to sink into depravity with you. I want a feast! I’m warning you, from now on, whenever you eat this junk food, don’t call me.” With that, he fell silent. Henry Bennett shrugged: “Pretty sure you’re the one who popped up on your own.”
Although instant food didn’t taste or look great, it was quite nutritious. After filling his stomach, Henry Bennett threw himself back onto the bed and then called out to Achilles: “Hey, Achilles, why can’t I feel the presence of A-energy in my body?” Achilles didn’t respond, as if he didn’t exist at all.
Henry Bennett rolled his eyes at the ceiling: “The universe’s number one handsome guy, Achilles…” Before he could finish, Achilles had already enthusiastically popped out: “Oh, it’s me, it’s me! You’re looking for the flawless me, the one who perfects the essence of the universe, promotes material circulation, elevates biological taste, strengthens genetic perfection, enhances male endurance, increases female pleasure, loved by all, flowers bloom at my sight, cars stop for me, and little brothers bow down to the number one handsome guy, Achilles. What do you want?” Henry Bennett couldn’t help but roll his eyes again.
“I’m asking you, why can everyone else feel their own A-energy, but I can’t feel mine?”
Achilles chuckled: “Because that useless teacher taught you the wrong cultivation method.” Henry Bennett quickly asked, “Then what’s the correct method?”
“First of all, the evolutionary battle armor should have its own heart.”
Henry Bennett was stunned: “The evolutionary battle armor has its own heart? Where is it? Why can’t I feel it?” Achilles said, “Because it’s still very weak, you can’t sense it yet. When your evolutionary battle armor matures, you’ll be able to feel it. But it’s fine, I’ll tell you—the heart of the evolutionary battle armor is hidden just behind your own heart. Try to sense it there.”
Henry Bennett tried to sense it, but still felt nothing.
“Wrong spot,” Achilles instructed. “You have to find the exact spot to feel it. Try a few different places.”
“Okay.” Henry Bennett tried several times, focusing his attention on different spots behind his heart. After seven or eight tries, suddenly a burning, fiery sensation swept through his whole body. In an instant, he broke out in a sweat, as if he’d just been pulled out of water, his clothes soaked through.
“That’s right, that’s the spot. Try a few more times.”
Henry Bennett took off his damp clothes, puzzled: “How did that happen?” He tried a few more times and finally found the exact location of the evolutionary battle armor’s heart. With the experience from the first time, although that burning sensation was still there, he didn’t break out in a sweat again.
