First, there was a dull thud coming from the classroom next door, then another thud as the back wall shattered. A figure crashed into their classroom, knocking over some empty desks and chairs, and flopped onto the floor like a dead dog.
“Damn, are they tearing down the building? Good thing Mr. Bennett dodged fast!”
“Isn’t that you-know-who?”
“Thug David.”
Sophie Smith, who had been recording a video earlier, looked adorably stunned. Once she snapped out of it, she pointed her phone’s camera at the broken wall, then turned it to focus on David Thompson lying on the floor like a dead dog.
“Brothers, did you see that? I’m stuck in this terrifying place right now, my life is in danger at any moment, but I’m still streaming for you all. Don’t stop sending those luxury cars, keep the Punk hits coming, 666!”
Amid the swirling dust, Lauren swayed her trench coat, covered her nose, and slowly walked in. When she reached David Thompson, she dragged him by one leg, then just as leisurely walked back out through the broken wall.
Grace Davis and Megan Reed poked their heads out for a look, then quickly pulled back. Everyone else in their classroom sat quietly in their seats, looking like a bunch of quails.
“Brothers, did you see that? There are lots of beauties here! Send some gifts, and your little sister will risk her life to go over and get a clear shot of the pretty girls… Wow, so generous! Thank you for the supercar, thank you for the little whips, I’m going over now!”
Sophie Smith tiptoed over to the broken wall, sneaked a peek at the other side, then stuck her phone out to secretly film.
Mr. Richard stood at the podium like a mountain, completely unfazed, still scribbling formulas as if nothing had happened.
From the classroom across the way came bursts of bizarre sounds. That crazy goddess was laughing maniacally again, probably with one hand on her hip and the other pointing at everyone inside: “I am the incarnation of the sun, your goddess! Wahahaha…”
Kevin Clark covered his face with his hand.
Brian Carter, Eric Bennett, and John Harris all looked at Kevin Clark with strange, conflicted expressions, as if they had some unspeakable secret.
“Pay attention to the lesson, pay attention.” Kevin Clark sighed, “Here comes another one flying over.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Sophie Smith really did go flying, from one side to the other, crashing into the blackboard next to Mr. Richard and sliding down in a gecko pose.
Mr. Richard calmly walked over to fill in the formulas that had been wiped off, but whether intentionally or not, he stepped a few times on the unconscious Sophie Smith lying on the floor. As if he noticed something, he bent down, picked up a phone, glanced at it, and then put it in his own pocket.
Those with sharp ears could hear some strange noises, something like “mm, ah, ee” and the like?
“Ya, ya, ya… Meidie?” Eric Bennett tilted his head, half-covering his ear, dubbing: “Ikku… Ikku?”
A piece of chalk shot out like a bullet, hitting Eric Bennett right on the forehead. His eyes rolled back, his head slammed onto the desk, white foam came out of his mouth, and his body convulsed.
“Ahem!” Mr. Richard finally finished writing the formulas, smiled warmly and said, “That’s all for today’s lesson. Copy it down, and if you have any questions, save them for next class.”
Kevin Clark looked at Eric Bennett, who was still foaming at the mouth and twitching, then at the dignified Mr. Richard, and swallowed hard.
Chapter 7: The Super God Universe
“It looks mysterious, but there’s really nothing incomprehensible about it.” Lauren raised an arm, her index finger pointing up, as a strange light gathered at her fingertip, forming a dazzling ball of light. “Our Sunfire race’s technology related to stars is at the forefront of the known universe. We’ve learned gene implantation from the Shenhe civilization, and our genes carry related computing clouds and programs.”
Lauren always acts like a crazy goddess, insisting people call her a goddess, and in some ways, she really is one—a goddess of dawn from the Sunfire civilization, also known as the Light of the Sun.
“You all have some special genes, more or less.” Lauren put away the ball of light, looked at Brian Carter, and said, “For example, this Daniel Parker—he’s the product of the Super God Academy’s massive investment of manpower and resources, the Power of the Galaxy, one of the three major projects.”
“What’s the Power of the Galaxy?” Brian Carter grinned awkwardly, “I’m just tough, and I can make people shut up.”
Brian Carter called his special ability the “Brain-Dead Chop”—he can make someone instantly lose their train of thought, like their mind just blanks out. Whoever he tells to shut up, shuts up. (Anti-energy conservation)
They were in a green garden, sitting together in a pavilion, a group of about a dozen people.
Kevin Clark had been busy earlier, preparing tea, drinks, candied fruit, and snacks, so everyone could chat, drink, and eat at the same time.
