This thing that looks like a black hole, its suction pulled all the clouds on Earth into one spot. Only when it expanded to a certain extent did it stabilize, no longer generating any suction or gravity, but instead just floated in Earth's outer orbit like a dark cloud.
“What’s going on!?”
“More like, what is that thing!?”
“A black hole? Is Blue Star doomed?”
Everyone at the pavilion in the green square was looking up.
In fact, as long as you were on the hemisphere facing that “dark cloud,” everyone had stepped outside, confused, shocked, afraid… watching the suddenly appearing unknown object with all sorts of emotions.
Chapter 8: Cosmic Anomaly
“Dark energy detected!”
“Blue Star’s outer orbit is opening a force field!”
“Large wormhole is opening!”
“Warning, Blue Star’s magnetic field is undergoing drastic changes, abnormal tides in the northern hemisphere!”
“Dark energy is gathering rapidly, recommend immediately activating the spatial solidification device.”
“Warning! Insufficient energy! Warning! Insufficient energy! Warning…”
Deep underground in the Super Divine Academy, people were busy everywhere, men and women alike, most of them operating equipment far beyond Blue Star’s technology.
The “spatial solidification device” they mentioned was a set of machines anchored in fixed orbits around Blue Star. Once activated, they would generate a shield-like field, causing the magnetic field and other substances, elements, etc. in those spaces to enter an extremely stable state.
In that state, unless the energy supply failed, it would be a sealed-off area.
That “dark energy,” as the name suggests, was a type of energy, only it was extracted from a place called the dark dimension.
At this moment, Wandering Richard no longer looked nonchalant, but instead was full of seriousness and obvious gravity.
“Summon Lauren!” Wandering Richard shouted loudly, “With Lauren here, there’s no such thing as insufficient energy. We must stabilize the space!”
A young woman in a red and black OL-style suit waved her hand, and a transparent control panel appeared in front of her. Her fingers tapped at lightning speed.
“Lauren’s position marker locked.” She was known as Miss Teacher, Wandering Richard’s secretary, and also an e-sports commentator on Blue Star. With a stern face, she announced, “Micro-wormhole opening, executing forced pull command!”
The next moment, Lauren appeared, still holding a bag of chips, crunching away, her gaze a bit dazed. Once she realized what was happening, she exploded in anger: “This goddess really should have burned that locator!”
“Lauren.” Wandering Richard called out urgently, “Our energy isn’t enough to resist the pull of the large wormhole Carl opened. Give the energy device a boost.”
“I’ll smack you in the face!” Lauren was already annoyed from being summoned in the middle of her bath last time, and now she was passively summoned again. As a goddess, she felt utterly humiliated: “I’m definitely going to tear out that locator!”
“Tear it out, tear it out.” Wandering Richard smiled ingratiatingly, urging, “But first, give us a boost.”
Lauren knew the situation was urgent, and wanted to get it over with quickly so she could go back and watch Kevin Clark’s silly, dazed face. She extended her hand, gathering a chaotic, energy-filled orb of light, and threw it at a machine that was spinning rapidly.
That machine was actually enormous, with some mysterious, fantastical-looking metals spinning wildly, and some mechanical parts emitting a soft blue glow.
After the orb of light was absorbed, the machine spun even more violently, and the original blue glow turned golden.
“Send me back to where I was!” Lauren demanded impatiently, “Right now, immediately!”
Miss Teacher glanced at Wandering Richard, and seeing Wandering Richard nod, she tapped away on the transparent control panel again.
A transparent, circular light ring appeared next to Lauren. She glared fiercely at Wandering Richard and stepped inside.
Back at the pavilion, no one had noticed that Lauren had disappeared. One after another, everyone was looking up in shock at the raging black hole.
Back in her original spot, Lauren glanced at Kevin Clark, who was still lying on the ground. Seeing Kevin Clark’s dumbfounded expression, she secretly laughed, then quickly adjusted her expression from amusement to surprise, then to seriousness, and finally to a look of total control.
With so much drama, Lauren realized no one was paying attention to her. She coughed lightly, walked over to Kevin Clark, and nudged him with her foot, saying nonchalantly, “It’s just a man-made wormhole. In a civilization that’s entered the Super Divine Era, anyone willing to pay the price can make one. What’s with that dumb look on your face? How are you supposed to cling to this goddess’s thigh like that?”
Kevin Clark turned his gaze to Lauren. Because he was lying on the ground, his line of sight happened to fall on Lauren, who was wearing a trench coat and a super short skirt, and his eyes couldn’t help but drift toward the “Y” area.
“Stupid Pan…” She took a few steps back, adjusted her trench coat to cover herself, and cursed, “I’ll gouge your eyes out!”
