Chapter 6

After looking around, he realized that the beach he was sitting on was a slope on this small island. Not far from where he sat, there was a gigantic animal skeleton. The skeleton was enormous, resembling a fish, yet it also had four legs. It looked just like one of those transitional creatures between fish and reptiles. If Darwin saw this thing, he would probably be quite delighted, Henry Walker thought to himself oddly.

Based on all the memories in Henry Walker's mind, he couldn't recall any animal with such a massive skeleton. The skeleton before him had been bleached white by the sun, with half of it still submerged in the water. It looked as if this creature had died while trying to crawl ashore.

Staring at the huge skeleton, Henry Walker couldn't help but shiver. If such a gigantic animal were to suddenly appear in front of him, well, heh.

Henry Walker chuckled twice. In this completely unfamiliar environment, strength was the only guarantee for survival.

With that thought, Henry Walker closed his eyes and tried to control the power within his body.

The moment he tried, Henry Walker couldn't help but want to curse out loud! The power within him was now as empty as a vault after a thief's visit—completely gone! It seemed that it had all been consumed in that explosion, and it would take at least ten days or half a month to recover.

However, as the saying goes, blessings and misfortunes come hand in hand. Although Henry Walker's power had been completely depleted, he could clearly feel that his ability, which hadn't advanced in years, now faintly showed signs of progressing to the final "eighth stage." That was a good omen! The eighth stage—the legendary realm of gods! Although he didn't know exactly what that realm was like, it was something Henry Walker longed for.

After surveying his surroundings, Henry Walker looked down at his feet. On the beach, soaked by the blue seawater, there were many colorful clams stranded. At that moment, Henry Walker's stomach grumbled in protest.

"Damn, I never thought I'd see the day," Henry Walker laughed. These clams would soon become part of his body's nutrition!

The colorful clams were indeed delicious. Even though he ate them raw, it didn't affect their natural freshness and smooth taste at all. Combined with the faint saltiness of the seawater, it was pure, natural flavor. Henry Walker ate more than a dozen in a row, and with something in his stomach, he felt a bit more strength return to his weak body. Even the pain all over his body seemed to ease a lot!

Although he was still far from full, Henry Walker stopped eating. As a member of Division Thirteen, he knew some basic survival knowledge. If he ate too many of these clams, he would definitely get diarrhea. On such a desolate island with no supplies or support, any illness could be a fatal threat—even diarrhea was no exception.

In any case, surviving on this deserted island was the top priority. Without life, everything else was nonsense.

With a bit of strength after eating, Henry Walker began to think calmly. While his powers had not yet recovered, he needed some handy weapons.

Henry Walker pulled out the military dagger strapped to his pant leg. Not bad at all—even after that explosion, the dagger had survived! Henry Walker set the dagger aside; it would be his lifeline in the days to come! But just this dagger was far from enough! Henry Walker glanced at the huge skeleton. If a creature of that size showed up, even stabbing it with the dagger would be nothing more than a tiny prick!

A skeleton? A skeleton! Henry Walker clapped his hands. Hey, this skeleton was a natural long weapon! The only question was whether the bones were strong enough.

Henry Walker staggered over to the skeleton lying on the beach. From a distance, it looked huge; up close—wow, it was enormous! Even on Earth, only a whale could compare!

Although it looked ancient, the skeleton was still very intact and massive. Standing before it, Henry Walker suddenly felt very small. Nature truly was wondrous—humans would always be insignificant.

Once at the skeleton, Henry Walker carefully felt along the bones, which gleamed with a stony luster. After a while, Henry Walker set his sights on a row of ribs. The ribs were very long, almost over two meters. Two of them immediately caught Henry Walker's eye. Unlike the others, which had been bleached white by sun and rain, these two were an unusual black!

He was extremely weak now, and his powers would take days to recover. Most importantly, who knew what wild beasts roamed this deserted island? These two ribs were just the right length—perfect for self-defense.

Henry Walker went up and knocked on the two ribs, then was surprised to find that they made a metallic sound.

"Nice, good stuff!" Henry Walker praised, then drew his dagger and began cutting at the base of the two ribs.

After half a day, Henry Walker finally managed to get these two natural "long blades" down.

Already weak, Henry Walker now plopped down on the ground.
